Help desk is unprofessional, employees never visible, and will cuss at you unprompted. I love the station decor but the station employees ruin it.

Station surrounds - grassed areas, garden beds - are rubbish-strewn and an eyesore. A station from the last century and generally tired. Carpark inadequate and fails to meet demand.

Worst customer service ever. My card was not updating my pending funds and wouldn't let me out of the station. The man at customer service was rude right from the start and not helpful at explaining what to do.EDIT: When I got to Lilydale, the same thing happened. The (much nicer) customer service man discovered it was a fault with my card and replaced it no problem.

I'm loving the new Mooroolbark Station. They recently elevated the station to remove the level crossing. The interior of the ground floor looks like a mini airport complete with amenities such as waiting room and toilets. To go up and down the train platform, you can use the stairs or take the lifts. The layout of the train station on the top floor is spacious with generous seating areas while waiting for the train going to the City or to Lilydale. The signboards showing the destinations are upgraded with big screens. A new carpark is conveniently built adjacent to the station that can accommodate around 450 vehicles. This carpark is not always filled up so you can park and take the train anytime without worrying that you will have any parking space. This station is also one of the few that has Flexiride where a bus with no fixed route can be booked using the app and the bus can take you around Mooroolbark. This Flexiride bus is very convenient because you will receive a text message when you book and when the bus will arrive. You can also track the location of the bus in real time and you will also know who your driver is. I give it full five stars even though the landscaping is not finished yet. I also hope that when the station is completely finished, they will give it a big squeaky clean scrub because it's already dirty from all of the construction. Other than these, this is probably the best train station in the Eastern Suburb. Well done for coming up with a very excellent public transport facility.

Impressions from my visit quite late at night:, plenty of parking space, help booth and police were stationed, plenty of cover from the rain.

Mooroolbark has just been grade separated from Manchester Road, giving it a new overhead station. The new station has full step-free access with 2 lifts and multiple sets of stairs. The main building has a huge clock on it which you can see from ages away. It is now an island platform, and inconveniently, the waiting room isn't on the platforms, which means that you have to go up to the platforms 2-3 mins before your train. The whole station is undercover except the furthest end from the entrance and a new car park is being built for over 700 spaces. The new station from me gets 5 stars because it is really modern, clean, and one of the only stations I know that are out in the open but fully undercover.
