Deer Park
This is a decent station, however could use some work. Only Geelong and Ballarat V-Line trains stop here, however I believe the Metro network will incorporate this station in the future. To get into the station can be a bit confusing, and it would be better if they had some sort of underpass. There is a small seating area and timetable screens. The station is also a bit isolated from the Deer Park centre.

This station serves its major purpose reasonably well, but there are a few problems that have to be addressed. While accessing the station is not particularly challenging, it could be a lot better if there was some sort of underpass that made accessing the platform a whole lot easier. There are bus services that stop near the station but hardly any that stop inside the station itself, I think they definitely need to make a designated bus bay and more frequent services so it discourages people from taking up the limited number of parking bays available, which is certainly an issue for a lot of people.

From Brisbane, had no idea where to go to get to Ballarat, meet Warren who works on the platform there and how refreshing, a worker there who was helpful, funny and generally concerned about all people making it safely to where they were going! What a champion!

The station seems to be during the stage of rebuild/upgrade, first time visiting the station.Was trying to help a friend to go from Deer Park to Southern Cross at night, but somehow you can't access the station? Drove around the entire station, but was unable to find the entrance anywhere during night time, zero signage nor having any indication. We found another couple who had the same experience as us, literally stuck in front of the station. Had to drive to the Sunshine station instead....

Station needs an upgrade. Area is well past developing and the setup is not at that stage yet. Need pedestrians gate on the new deer park side. Parking needs an update too. Hurry up.

No toilets. Limited shelter ~ this is a very exposed site in unfavourable weather. No entrance from South western side. Disabled parking has been re-allocated to station staff! Insufficient parking spots results in adjacent streets being clogged. Outside peak hour, Ballaarat trains do not stop here!
