Although the ferry connects Bruny island and Tasmania main island frequently, prepare for a very long wait when you plan to take one of the last ferries back.

For all who are afraid they won't get back in the evening: they actually have two decks, and they fit a lot of cars! Even if you see a long queue after arriving on the island: don't worry about it.

Very.Long.Wait...At both ends there was a line that was easily 5-6 times the capacity of the ferry.You guys need a better system for peak holiday season.

Often a wait at peak. But the ferries are every 20 mins so you'll get on one soonish. The staff are very skilled at squeezing cars onto the ferry. Follow their directions to the letter!

Like C’mon how many ppl travel on this old outdated ferry paying $35 a car and way extra for vans/trucks ect, I don’t understand where all this money goes obviously not on the ferry it’s self because it’s so old and nothing gets fixed, the toilets are real bad. The staff are spot on though very quick and good at there jobs
