Fantastic day out on the Mary Valley Rattler. Our visit coincided with the markets, where there was live music and stalls to check out. It was great to watch the steam train turn around on the turntable before taking us back.

The Mary Valley Rattler is a good steam train ride leaving from The old Gympie railway station to Amamoor return. Check out their website for details. I would advise that you always check what train is running on the day and time you what to book Before you book. They have a Strick No Refund Policy. Three pages of terms and conditions are not made visible on web booking form, untill you have paid and made your booking. So do your checking before you place booking to avoid disapointments, is what I recommend. You will be surprised on the efforts that all the people have done to make this Mary Valley Rattler all come together.
