I'm sure it was the hight of technology and luxury in 1991 but today's standard no.Room was spacious, but literally had to unplug all the lights n stuff to get a free Power Point, bathroom was a bit gross and the staff were only interested if u drank the 2.75 bottled water.

Great location amongst the CBD. Good sized rooms, comfy bed, large TV & nice and quiet.Dining available downstairs in the restaurant or in-room option if you prefer to eat in.I will happily stay here again for my next work trip

The staff were great, The foyer area and dining area were very flash but the room smelt musty. It's was clean, just smelt unpleasant. It was easy to find. Parking is in a public carpark next door and is within walking distance of cafes and restaurants. There would appear to be a hostel or something nearby with numbers of blokes hanging around the street making it feel a bit uncomfortable to be walking at night.

Do NOT stay here if travelling by car. The hotel car park has space for approx 20 cars, which for a hotel of over 100 rooms is obviously inadequate. I’m not even sure why the hotel offers its car park as an option as it is always full. I had to park around the corner, and walk back to the hotel in the pouring rain. Not a great first impression, particularly as I had been given a permit for the hotel car park by reception only to find it full of course. Also not sure how this hotel is rated 4.5 stars. The rooms and facilities are very basic and hardly ‘grand’.

Nice hotel. Showing its age a bit. Room was comfortable but mattress could have been better. Bathroom cramped with shower in bath so not for anyone with mobility issues. It was clean and tidy.

Stayed there one night for my holiday. The one star review is given to front desk staff. Not all of them, just the one lady who assisted me with check in on 6 December 2022 afternoon. She made me run back and forth for nothing. More detail, I told her that we had a car and asked her where to park. She told me behind the building. So I went out driving in circles and there was nothing at the back of the hotel. We had to go back and was told by another staff the parking was beside the building. Not only that, she said she can only give me a parking permit after we park. So we had to park first, go back to her and get the permit which she then told me had to put on the car. And I went back to my car again to put the permit in. Honestly, the permit could have been given to me when I checked in. I went back and forth to the reception for three times and circled around the building just for parking thanks to her. And her attitude was not pleasant. No please ever said. I will never go back to the hotel again. And I will not recommend it to any of my friends or family who are planning to come Launceston. Disappointing!

Being unexpectedly dumped in Launceston was surprised with the efficiency and concern of the staff at nearly midnight. Assistance was excellent and made the stay enjoyable despite the foregoing dumping.

Very nice central hotel with pleasant accommodation. Loved having a dressing gown to cuddle into and watch TV. If I had one criticism it would be the foyer area. Its a lovely place to sit and the first thing guests see but I feel the colour scheme could do with a bit of updating. Its such a dowdy colour. It obviously hasn't been updated for years which is fine but just a few tweaks here and there would make it less dated.

The good: The hotel is at a very convenient location. The buffet breakfast had a good range of options. The bad: Some of the staff were not hospitable. The room was just ok. The bathroom was huge but the taps were leaking.

Hotel could do with a update, staff were very friendly, one lass who worked behind the bar was very informative and nice to talk to, we had a meal there 1st night, oysters Kilpatrick bacon over done as well as oysters main meal was just edible. They only thing this Hotel has going for it is the location.
