Skyrail Rainforest Cableway
The longest cable car in the world. Much better views than the Kuranda train. Really enjoyed trip and felt much safer than some other cable cars I have been on despite this one being much higher in the air. Tickets are a bit pricey but highly recommended. There are max 6 people to a car if you are travelling in groups.

Really recommend it, is better is you don't share the cabin and enjoy the rides, have some silent moments to enjoy the nature sound. Amazing experience of the rainforest and walks along the way if you go in a quiet day.

Fantastic facilities, found all the staff we interacted with to be extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Such a beautiful part of the world to visit. If you are not use to tropical areas can I recommend plenty of water are insect repellent.

Skyrail Rainforest Cableway
It was ok, we got the sky rail (cable car) up and the scenic railway back. The sky rail was OK... They make you share the cable cars with other passengers (so it gets a little crowded and uncomfortable).The railway was much better, more spaced out and when we were initially advised of our seating, we went to the train to change our seats and got an entire berth to ourselves.Don't bother with the red Barron stop, just head straight to the waterfall.

I am petrified of heights, and I even enjoyed this experience. It was so amazing.The views and rainforest that you see are just incredible. The staff are so helpful, stopping to get off and see falls and forest is awesome too. Thank you Skyrail

Skyrail Rainforest Cableway
After riding the Scenic Railway up to Kuranda we used the Skyrail Cableway to travel back to Smithfield. Great scenic views from high above the rainforest. Relaxed trip with two stops on the way for more time to enjoy the experience. Friendly and helpful staff.

Pretty cool, very good views! Longest gondola i’ve ever been on so feel you get your moneys worth.The broad walk at Red Peak is very short.The only downside was being put in a gondola with other people when it wasn’t that busy :( no one wants to share, it’s awkward.. there were maybe 20 people in the queue when they were ‘packing’.Would of made more sense to spread people out as there was a far bigger queue to get back on the gondola from Red Peak!

Perfect day out. We did the train up and skyrail down. Very friendly staff. Amazing views. Kuranda village a bit disappointing as it's really just a whole lot of cheap souvenir shops. But a beautiful day in the sun. I loved the cool earth smell of the rain forest when the gondola stopped part way down and we were able to go for a short boardwalk in the forest.

A spectacular way to travel to Kuranda Village. The stops along the way are well-positioned for views of the Barron gorge and waterfall. The gondolas arrived relatively quickly so the wait for cable cars were not long.

Incredible and comfortable ride. Must do if u are visiting cairns. Staff were all polite and accommodating. Views are incredible. Get the scenic railway back. In karunda go to the butterfly house. Don't fall for the tourist trap restaurants. Grab a smoothie from the markets instead.
