They say that the Mission Beach area is where the Rainforest meets the Reef and this is the case here. You have got to love a walk through a Rainforest and the Lacey Creek walk is on to really enjoy. Sure it is hot going on a humid day, but the reward of a cool swim at the end makes it all worth it.

Pure, dense rainforest. Incredible palm trees, ferns, lichens, and mushrooms. There are some well-signed paths that are suitable for children too.Watch out for cassowaries - they are real, huge, and can appear out of nowhere.

This track is very deceiving. We did the 3.2km Casey Creek walk not knowing that it was a one way walk and ended up walking another extra 3km on the road back to our car. The signs need to be more CLEAR regarding this walk! Not happy! Apart from that the rainforest walk and track is great!

Beautiful walks in natural rainforest. Big chance you could cross paths with beautiful cassowary. Don't forget your mozzie repellent!
