Hornsby Dog Park

Had a great time. Friendly people and a great area for dogs

Beware Sunday 1-4 -- you'll be asked to leave as park is taken over by some dog club/training.Thought our dog parks, paid for by rates, would be for everyone.

Heaps of space for the dogs to run.Although it would be nice if the council I installed some lights for night time.

Went as a group on a saturday evening, with other people and our cavoodles... immediately, a German shepherd started chasing one of the small dogs and tried to pin it down. A few minutes later, a lady (who i was told was one of the dog trainers in the obedience school that operates there on Sundays) came with another German shepherd and her dog tried to bite one of the other small dogs... as we were picking up and leaving the same dog came back for one of the other small ones in our group... this time with an aggressive growl and jumping on it.. luckily the owner was able to lift it up by the lead (that we didn't even have the chance to take off amidst all the commotion) and take it away from under the dog.We were lucky. So, if you have a small dog, i do not recommend this park.. as there are some bad big-dog owners there.I just wish that the council would set up a small-dog only dog park to avoid these situations.

Great park but often has poo not picked up.

huge area for the dogs to run around and accessibility to poo bags!unfortunately people do not keep an eye on their dogs, leading to a lot of altercations. keep a close eye on your dog and their interactions with others!!!there’s no visible rules at this park which drives a lot of people away.

Good for owners of larger dogs, as there’s a lot of room and a lot of bigger breeds that go. Best time is 4:00-6:00 in the afternoon, when there’s a lot of dogs about.

Dog park very touching It makes you aware of the animals strong link to man and their strong urge to please us and be pampered by us they show their affection continually and are a great source of comfort and companionship to older as well as younger people this is a much visited park by dog lovers
