Claw and Tail -it’s quirky it’s quaint it’s modern all at the same time .Experiencing a delightfully kind chef at work .Soaking up St Kilda beach while under the shades of Claw and tail .Really enjoyed flathead with chips could taste the quality and care that went into this .Home made tartare sauce was so much nicer than store bought .

On a cold June St Kilda day we wandered down to Claw & Tail and were delighted with a warming delicious bowl of seafood chowder, creamy, spicy, full of mussels, fresh prawns, fish, pipis and chorizo with a generous serve of crunchy bread.The croquets were also yummy.We highly recommend you try this cafe on the foreshore at St Kilda near the salt water bathes.The owner was friendly, the seafood very fresh.

We had the pleasure of eating at Claw and Tail this evening. Situated in a fantastic spot near the beach, Claw and Tail served up some delicious offerings from the sea.We tried all the oyster variations to start, then couldn't pass on the scallops. They were cooked to perfection and bursting with flavour.The lobster roll was most definitely the highlight, super soft bun with lashings of crayfish mixed with a not too overpowering mayo sauce. Finished off with a few sprigs of dill.Despite being quite busy, the service was very friendly and the food was delivered after only a few minutes.Claw and Tail is a fantastic addition to the St Kilda foreshore area and the perfect spot to watch the sun go down while enjoying some amazing Australian seafood.We cannot wait to return and try the other items they have on offer.

We had our best meal from Claw And Tail after about a week visiting Melbourne. Loved the lobster rolls and the seafood chowder! While seemingly simple, the freshness and sweetness of the seafood really stood out. Will definitely be back whenever we're visiting the area!

Been several times now and never disappoints.In a cute little pocket- easy to eat out front or on the grass on a sunny day.Seafood is fresh, delicious with awesome and flavours.The people who work there are legends- ordered the scallops (comes with 3 but gave us 4 for free cause there were two of us). King gesture aside, it’s a solid 5 stars.

The kind of seafood place that should have been here a LONG time ago.I adore Claw and Tail. Today we ate clam chowder on a picnic bench whilst watching the world go by on the seashore.I haven't had chowder in so long - it was perfect weather to sit back and relax. Came wearing some trackies and the food came out quickly. We tried the lobster and felt like royalty in a real world. The staff are just the most lovely people - they are absolutely gorgeous.The prices were so amazing -12 dollars and up. This place would easily be double to price if not for the picnic tables.I love the vibe - we'll def. come back :)

Overall the food was very well presented and tasted quite delicious. The slightly longer and thinner brioche bun makes eating the rolls much easier than a wider bun. I’d have to pass on their coffee, it was very much over extracted and the machine would need dialling in again. All in, the items are fairly priced for what is being offered.Service was a little slow as I waited almost 20 minutes for my meal and being the only customer on a slightly rainy Friday afternoon, I think that’s a bit too long.The venue is very well presented and has plenty of grass area to sit whilst overlooking St Kilda Beach. Great spot for a nice lunch on a sunny day.

Tasty seafood directly on the beach of St Kilda. Definitely worth trying their citrusy fresh lobster roll and rich the chowder.
