Our mother had the service she wanted. Gary and Geoff were compassionate, caring and understanding in what was a sad and difficult time for the family. Back in 2014 Russell Brothers helped me with my Mum & eldest son funerals. Once again, this month, I turned to Gary to help create a celebration of my husbands life. Gary & Russell Brothers are totally professional, sincere & their commitment goes well above & beyond.Thank you Gary, for your empathy, your communication & understanding.

My family and I had the pleasure of meeting Gary from Russell Brothers after the sad passing of my Dad Shane in August 2015. We found Gary to be very caring and thoughtful in our hard and difficult time. There was never a time that we ever felt pressured to do things a certain way, Gary never tried to up sell on what we wanted. Gary wasn’t a pushy person and doing the arrangement it didn’t feel like he was a salesman it more felt like a friend offering support and comfort at our time of need. It was obvious that Gary knew his job backwards by the way he communicated with all different parties involved from the church to the cemetery as well as communicating with us as a family was nothing short of first class, his manner was so warm and professional in all preparations which made us feel at total ease. Never once did we feel under the pump with the preparations as Gary just walked us through what to expect every step of the way this made us not feel too overwhelmed and stressed by the situation as we had gained a great deal of trust in Gary and also in Russell Brothers. During the lead up to the funeral nothing was too much trouble for Gary even coming to collect clothes that we had decided to have dad buried in to allowing us to take our time at a private viewing and not rush us, he was so supportive during this time. I’m told the funeral went off without any problems I was there however I don’t recall a lot of it due to the high amount of emotion of the day. On the day my Mum and I were driven in a morning car which was driven by Paul he was so sweet and kind and although we were both very emotional he made the trip bearable even getting us to smile I felt happy that he was just as approachable as Gary had been throughout the whole experience I felt very lucky that we had such a great team looking after us. To me it was a pleasure meeting Gary and Paul and going through Russell Brothers as I found them to be so caring, compassionate and understanding that I highly recommend them to anyone should they have the occasion occur well done on great service Gary and team.

I highly recommend Russell Brothers, Mentone. From our first meeting, Gary was both professional and kind. He patiently answered all our questions and went out of his way to make sure we were happy with all the arrangements. My father had prepaid his funeral in 2006 and there were minimal additional charges. I always felt my Dad was being cared for, respected and in safe hands. It was such a comfort in this time of grief.

I would like to thank Gary for the care and compassion throughout my dad's funeral (Allan) From the start of the process all the way to the wake he went above and beyond. He's an exceptional gentleman and I highly suggest going through Russell Brothers. Thank you again Gary for everything you have done for the King family to help us get through this tough time.

Gary and the team did an amazing job for my Dad's funeral. They are a wonderful company who do an amazing job at such a difficult time. They have now officiated over my Mum, Dad, and two Grandparents' funerals and I would highly recommend.

Gary was amazing. I had never arranged a funeral before but, within 4 days of contacting Gary at Russell Brothers (on a public holiday in March 2020), we had the most perfect funeral for my big brother Paul who died unexpectedly at the young age of 63. It was all arranged by phone and email because I live in Sydney but it couldn't have been better or easier or better value. Total cost was less than $7000 for everything including a beautiful service at Bunurong, lovely flowers (huge!), our chosen music, a slide show of Paul's life, video recording of the service (with a copy provided on a USB memory stick), a printed order of service and more. Gary made it perfect in every way. Highly recommended.

My brothers and I had to say goodbye to our beautiful mother on 2nd June.The care, professionalism, compassion and service was first class. Special thanks to Gary and Celebrant Sandra who were absolutely spot on in all categories. Whilst a funeral is never a great, we were treated with enormous respect and sympathy. Couldn't recommend highly enough
