Unfortunately my review of GPG is not particularly positive. I have an older model Volkswagen Golf Mk4 which I decided to take to them for a service for a change in place of my normal volkswagen mechanic for a regular service.They ended up doing a minor service (oil/filter plus a transmission fluid change) for $550 which is quite expensive.. Even for European Performance Shop. The same job at a similar shop would cost me a good hundred bucks less.I thought nothing of it and decided to give them another go due to persistent noise coming from under my vehicle when driving and when starting my car. Which I had already told them about and decided to go ahead with.After previously mentioning the noise they quoted me $760 for replacing front shocks and $154 for changing the serpentine belt. Which I assumed would fix the issue... I also noticed that the rear of my car was making the same noise as the front end so I decided to replace the rear shocks as well. Which they were quick to agree to. Quoting me $1568 on the day for front/rear & serpentine belt replacement. I thought that was quite expensive also but as I was already there and wanted this problem sorted I went ahead with the repairs.After paying the invoice I noticed the noise was still there... Both from under the car and when starting the vehicle. He explained it must be worn bushings somewhere else under the car and the noise when starting the vehicle must be coming from the starter motor. He said if I want them fixed I would have to bring them back another day to have them fixed... for a price of course..At this point after paying $1568 I thought it is absolutely not worth my time and money coming back to get these issues sorted. They could of told me before replacing the suspension which didn't change much and cost me an arm & a leg... or at least looked at the condition of the bushings while it was up on the hoist. I was quite disappointed and deflated by the situation.Additionally the price is extreme even for a European Performance Workshop. I called other volkswagen specialists around the area where I got quotes close to $250 cheaper for the same job...They also quoted me $1750 for replacing the clutch. In which another volkswagen specialist has quoted me $1250. That is a huge price gap.. I apologise but I must share my experience.Sadly I will most likely not be returning to this shop due to this as I feel it is more money focused rather than passion focused.

Got my Stage 1 ECU tune done. Nothing was too hard it was a pleasure dealing with with them. Sound advise and had very good knowledge of their products. Will be back there again for more fuel saving" upgrades."

Was recommended to go here by Eurowerke (Castle Hill) as they couldn't/wouldn't do the LED headlight installation/upgrade I was looking for.Castle Hill Volkswagen also told me that they couldn't do it.German Performance Garage were happy to attempt the installation on my AW/MY 2018 Volkswagen Polo Beats - Was told that they haven't done this particular LED headlight upgrade before so it would be their first.On the day of my booking, I had arrived 1 and half hours late due to reasons and the staff here were super friendly and understanding, they weren't even bothered a little that I had arrived late.They still managed to fit me in.All up I only had to wait 3 hours from the moment I arrived to picking up the car. Which was fast imo since they had other cars to work on first before mine.The LED headlights that were installed were aligned properly and worked without any issues. No dashboard/CANBUS error messages and I was only charged for labour, which is fair.I can see the road A LOT more clearly at night time now; the old headlights were a lot dimmer and a bit dangerous/iffy to drive with at night because the light output was bad.Very happy I got it installed.Huge kudos to Reece/Reese/Rhys at the front desk who I spoke to when checking in & out, will be a repeat customer because of the way I was treated.I booked my cars annual service on the spot for this August - The customer service experience and GPG being able to install the LED's helped make this choice.Car's warranty is ending this year and it was 50/50 if I went with Eurowerke or German Performance Garage. Both have good reviews and recommended on forums.Great experience overall! Happy to recommend GPG based on this experience.P.S. There was a cafe very close by around the corner (Beanmeister Cafe), which Rhys had recommended - very convenient place to wait while the car was being looked at, food was good.

The boys did an amazing job on my golf GTI MK 8!! Had the Remus non resonated exhaust system put in as well as the carbon APR air intake and it has elevated the car to another level. Sounds ridiculous! Big thank you to Chris for looking after me and the boys involved in the process. Very happy customer, highly recommend

The team at GPG exceeded all expectations and went absolutely above and beyond to make my experience there so enjoyable! I cant thank the team enough for everything they done for me upon my visit to their workshop, It’s safe to say that i will only ever be taking my pride and joy to the boys at GPG from now on. Have visited GPG countless times, they have some of the coolest mods for my VW Golf readily in stock and give fantastic maintenance advice. Staff are always friendly to help answer my questions over the phone and are very hospitable when visiting in person too.

Always warm and friendly, happy to have a chat.They provide sound advice for modifications and workmanship is also exceptional. The price reflects the quality of materials used and care taken. Had a bmw I was really keen on buying, stated to be stock and looked really clean.Got a pre purchase inspection by the boys at German performance auto and they found a major oil leak under the car, the car had flexfuel and other major mods.Saved me from buying a lemon!
