It’s a good deal for $55 on weekends. Korean chicken was delicious and most of food was good. Would recommend this place.

My first visit to this restaurant but definitely won't be my last. It is well presented, staff are friendly and helpful and cooking your own food that you can select from the wide range of options is great.I have since returned at least 5 times. Every time I am impressed with this place. The only thing I can suggest to fix is the chopsticks aren't great, I have started bringing my own.

An excellent experience with a couple of gaping holes. We attended on a rugby league game night and despite being very busy (as the establishment is walking distance from the stadium) it was still easy to get into with no excessive waits to access the buffet tables. Very comfortable seating, with each table spot having a hot pot heater, and a shared BBQ grill in the middle. Extremely friendly staff who look after all their patrons very well. They obviously but the lion's share of the budget and effort into the mains. More variety than one could every fully utilise with plenty of options for the Hot Pot, BBQ and kitchen cooked options. We tried a sprinkling of all main options and was not disappointed by any of it. (Note - chopsticks are the standard utensils but they have forks on request. They do NOT have knives.)Where they went all out on the mains, they cheaped out on the drinks and desserts, despite being unlimited offerings. We can't speak to the alcohol as our table didn't order any, but the soft drinks are generic no frills options. This isn't necessarily a criticism but it's worth noting. There are also a couple of juice offerings.Desserts are also quite uninspired. Mostly little finger sized bites of rather questionable satisfaction. There is a chocolate fondue set up but the dipables are very limited, mostly just small marshmallows. No fruit or nuts provided. Granted - this could have just been what was on offer the evening we were there so maybe this changes. There is also a soft serve ice cream machine, but as with the drinks it's very generic low quality serve, just by looking at it you can see it's the very grainy ice cream mix.Overall - if you're looking for an amazing mains experience it's very easy to do worse. Mountains of great quality food of all different styles for much variety. Just have expectations in check if you're after non-alcoholic drinks or dessert.

We love Coo.King and have definitely become regulars! As for gluten free options (as a coeliac), I am always extremely impressed. There are plenty of options for the hotpot, BBQ (including gf honey soy chicken), and prepared food including sushi. Also the desserts are great and they always get me a gluten free passionfruit cheesecake from the back (see pictures, make sure you ask for this if you're gluten free!).The food is fresh and tasty. The set up is nice. And the staff are fantastic (big shout out to Riley who always looks after us, especially with making sure we know about and get all the gluten free options).Could not recommend Coo.King more highly!

Went here with family, had a blast. Food was exceptional, service fantastic. Price seemed high initially, but even the 'light' eaters felt they got their money's worth. We will be back.

I love this place, the staff are all so sweet and kind. Soon as you walk in the door you feel welcomed. I'd like to highlight one server in particular, Cody, she is always friendly, speedy with service and remembers my broth selection by heart, excellent server (plus awesome tattoos). As for the food, it is a good selection and range to choose from, I havent found another place like it anywhere in Townsville. Closest place with good food would be Cairns and I can't go there anytime I've got a craving for some spicy beef broth. The resturant is always clean and although you only have 80 minutes to eat I believe their guest rotation on this timing works well.

First time at a hotpot restaurant. Amazing staff, amazing fresh food. Excellent price! Lots of space for families. Well explained from the wait staff. Freshest sushi I’ve eaten in a long time with a great selection of BBQ meat and hotpot choices.

I was carving for HOTPOT and BBQ for a year since I moved to Australia from Dubai. Yesterday I had been to coo.king as we had small trip to Townsville from Mackay. What a quality of food and varieties of it!! Sushi, full of flavor, freshness and selection. Pork belly so nice and great portion. Service was magnificent. A lady server she explained it so clearly and she was so perfect example of good hospitality.Definitely recommended and will go back again.
