This place was awesome. I wish I could have stayed longer but learned more about sapphires and fossicking for them in one night than I've known my whole life. David is an absolute legend, and cheers Kevin for sharing your knowledge. Also, the little pub does fish n chips on a Sunday and very reasonable price stubbies considering it's in the middle of bloody nowhere. I'll be back there for sure when I have more time! Thanks for the experience!

Quiet at this time of year but the upside is plenty of space. Happy hour every night around a fire. Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday spend a night with the locals and other travelers at the recreation club, licenced for alcahol sales on site with great food available on weekends.

Rustic gemfields park so don't expect too much in the way of facilities. There is power but no potable water to your van site so fill your water tanks before arrival. Just enjoy the experience of being at the gemfields.

good caravan park very quiet. Amenities old but very clean. And everyone was very friendly and helpful. Found a couple of small gemstone which was fun

We are stuck on the side of the road with engine trouble. We walked 1.2 km to the caravan park, very helpful allowed us showers at low cost very grateful.Big thank you good old Aussie spirit!

What a gem. Facilities are basic but all there. The daily campfire we were welcomed wholeheartedly by the regulars was lovely.We will be back
