Prepare to convert a rapid Camperdown pit stop into an extended stay if you interface with this insightful team at the Courthouse visitors' centre. There is so much to learn from them about the town, and for those without vertigo, climb Australia's only freestanding clock tower" in the company of John. He is a mine of information

The staff member is really friendly and provided information about the court house and where we can visit near here. The female public toilet here was the cleanest that I’ve been in AU so far. I couldn’t help to take a photo of it, cuz it smelled nice and the seat was clean too. ☺️

Thanks to Louise who received us warmly and gave us many helpful tips on places to see - we only had time for two - Excuse me for great coffees and Mt Leura lookout for incredible overlook view - but both were absolute hits <3 thank you so much! Highly recommend stopping by here as they also sell local craft e.g pottery, knits and local bottled jams and honey. Worth also noting it's in an old local courthouse building so get your cameras ready to pose like Judge Judy.

A unique historic building and community hub offering fantastic and friendly visitor and local information services by dedicated local volunteers, as well as cultural and arts experiences, meeting spaces and local gift wares. Free wifi! Incredible music venue, playing host to international, national and local acts over the years, including Grammy award winner and bluegrass legend Peter Rohan, Gina Jeffries, Battlefield Band, Lucy Wise, the Maes and more.Highly recommended to stop at on the Princes Highway in beautiful, leafy Camperdown on your way through from the city to Warrnambool/further west, or heading inland from the Great Ocean Road to check out the amazing volcanic landscapes, lakes and craters of the region.
