An absolute MUST DO in Tasmania! A thoroughly enjoyable experience. Incredibly informative, fun and amazing oysters (and mussels and wine!). Don’t be put off if you don’t like oysters, it’s still great fun. Would recommend to anyone visiting Tasmania. I look forward to going again! Thank you to Declan and the Freycinet Marine Farm!

Declan’s knowledge and relaxed friendly grace makes this and exceptional tour.Wading thigh deep in waters examining all ages of oysters and eating them fresh, right there in the water is fun. The oysters are delicious.Then finishing with lunch of oysters and mussels with the local Reisling ( texturs and dry, very nice), by the waters, tractor, crates is charming. The simple fresh seafood is sensational. Probably the best tour I’ve ever done!

This tour was a wedding gift from from our friends who knew how much we love seafood. It was a really fun experience the weather was sunny and the day beautiful. Declan was a fantastic host, we learnt all about oysters and how the farm works. When it came time to eat our fresh oysters we learnt how to shuck the oyster and our host was happy to help out when we were struggling to open the oyster. Would recommend to anyone.

Incredible tour and superb, fresh oysters. One of the best tour guides in the business. I’ve gone from oyster noob to willing shucker (even if it’ll take me a while!) Thanks Declan for a perfect afternoon in the sun, and for being so helpful and eager to answer questions we had. My family and I had a great time and will be recommending this tour for years to come.

Declan was a very knowledgable tour guide. He was funny and shared great fun facts.The walk out to the oyster farm was great in waders, we saw fish! Declan showed us baby oysters and oysters which were over 12 years old. He explained how they farm the oysters which was great. He also explained how they farm mussels too which was interesting. Declan showed us how to shuck an oyster. We loved the resiling that was paired with the seafood. Declan also cooked us mussels in salt water. This was so tasty! Would highly recommend this tour.

110% recommend going on the tour! Declan is an amazing guide. He provides a relaxed and fun environment as you get to explore the Oyster farm in your super stylish waders. Not to mention trying a fresh Oyster out in the water. Then it comes to a beautiful close with oysters, beautifully cooked mussels and a glass of wine. Would be happy to get to do it all again!

Fantastic tour, getting into waders and seeing the oysters up close and having the freshest oyster I have ever tasted, shucked and eaten in the water! Recommend highly if you get the chance to do this tour. Thanks to Declan for an amazing morning
