Yarns in Silk" a must see. 300 volunteers stitched together these amazing scenes. It also had a meuseum walk of tiny huts displaying how people lived and worked in the past"

We visited today & so glad we did! The silk yarn exhibition is just stunning in the collage panels. Then to walk around the folk museum was fascinating, both indoors & outdoors. So much to look at in wonder. The volunteer ladies were really welcoming & helpful too. There is a small Cafe & shop too but we didn't venture into these

Dropped by during the deloraine craft fair yesterday and was blown away by the four massive quilts in the theatre, the sewing and folk museum and the pioneer walk of the stables and lodgings from the olden times". Well worth the $10 entry fee ($8 for pensioners) on normal days. Best two hours I've ever spent going back in time!"

Ducked into this Information Centre twice during our stay in Deloraine. On both occasions found helpful friendly volunteer staff. The centre also has some wonderful displays; Yarns exhibit, statute of the mighty horse Maluca, a back verandah with great views of the Quamby Bluff and the western tiers. There is also a souvenir shop and a good selection of postcards. One of the better Visitor/Information centres.

This visitors centre punches well above its weight and is fantastic. Nothing like many of the old and tired centres you might find in other small towns. The museum and cinema show are brilliant and what a view! Thank you to the warm and lovely staff on our visit :)

Great information centre from happy and polite people working there. Good shop of local products at a good price. The museum and show are fantastic and very informative, I spent almost two hours there looking around and found it a fantastic display of the area and a great way for people to get to know the history of the area for a small and reasonable price.

Unfortunately the lady who was working on Thursday (29/12) was quite unhelpful. We were told wrong information about the Cradle Mountain visitor centre and shuttle. We were told that the Cradle Mountain Discovery Park was booked out and we would have no chance of getting in (we then rang ourselves and got two sites). Every piece of info she gave us started with “I think”, which didn’t give us much confidence with what she was providing. We have dealt with another person here who was the opposite. So just a bit disappointing.
