Cable Beach Backpackers

We are in our mid 70's so staying at this Backpackers has added to all the different types of accommodation we have stayed at over many years. We enjoyed the interaction with many of the young folk from such a variety of countries.Our double room was very basic but at least it had both a ceiling & floor fans. The sheets were clean but the mattress either needed to be turned or replaced, which meant we sank into the middle.We appreciated the 10pm cut off for noise & this was adhered to.The cleaning staff did a great job in the early morning but many of the young guests did not treat the communal kitchen with respect for others using it. Dishes would be rinsed but the food was often not cleaned out of the sinks. We got tired of cleaning them out so we could wash our own dishes. Perhaps signs above the sinks would jog them to clean up.Overall an interesting experience.

Awesome location and very chill layout. It was well managed by the staff and the amazing manager Wardy!Unfortunately the rooms are tiny without cupboards to store our clothes, everything was on the floor, the kitchen closes at 10pm so we couldn’t cook our food after work as most backpackers work in hospitality and finish late.Too expensive for what it is, we were paying 36$/night to share with 3 other people.Also, the owner comes in sometimes and starts harassing people for no reason.

As a female traveling alone I couldn't recommend Cable Beach Backpackers more! The location is perfect and the staff were fantastic. Also, fellow backpackers were respectful of each other and the specified curfews. The place is so well organised and run, I'd definitely go back :)

Best place to stay in Broome!!! The best people and a great atmosphere. Staff is friendly and helpful. Best amenities of any backpackers I have seen. Would 100% stay there again!

This hostel is amazing, I’m 26 and always been a hotel gal but I came with my partner and tried this hostel business. It was awesome- the staff are so friendly! It’s a gorgeous place definitely know you’re on holiday when you’re chilling in the pool with this mini jungle around you. The bathrooms were clean and there’s lots to do around the place! I stayed for 1 week and I don’t regret it and will be excited to come back! I heard some of the rooms were a bit hot but we just cracked the window with the fan and were super comfortable- lots of people just chilled on the hammocks or in the pool having a drink until it was time to sleep.

The staff are super friendly and very helpful. They have lots of fun social nights in which guests can interact with each other. A great location just up from Cable Beach and the bus stop outside the front door is very handy to get into Broome township.My only constructive feedback would be that for a private room it needs to have an air-conditioned as the fan doesn't help keep the room cool.

It had been a long time since I lived communally or in backpacker environment, and I must say how truly grateful I am for the experience. The staff, crew snd guests were all absolutely beautiful. I felt very safe and relaxed

Our 6th stay in 20 years and even at 70+Years old, we enjoyed the ambience of the young backpackers from France, Germany and South America who never make us feel old and always happy to chat. Thoroughly cleaned daily and helpful staff. Congrats to Jocelyn and Tony for running an excellent facility very close to Cable Beach

Amazing people. Pool table, bar and swimming pool were awesome. The staff were lovely. Hammocks everywhere to relax. Big kitchen area. Great place to make friends, great atmosphere. Within walking distance of the beach. 5 star experience ☆☆☆☆☆
