I took precious mini DVs of my late son to VideoLab. They digitised them and I collected them the same day. The location is tucked away in a North Melbourne laneway but very good service.

Had several CDs that were giving a static sound that was overpowering the music. VideoLab took the time to analyse the CDs and look at what could be done to salvage the audio files. Sadly, the CDs were unable to be recovered, but I was impressed by the time taken to look at the ptoblem - all for no charge. Very impressed.

I strongly recommend VideoLab, look no further! Fast, affordable, knowledgeable and quality work. The in-laws were visiting from Sweden and bought over 20 VHS and super 8 tapes (why didn’t they do it in Sweden?), VideoLab got the tapes digitised within the tight turnaround we needed before they head back overseas. We had over 40 old dictaphone tapes (micro-cassettes) that needed digitising, and after doing some research we decided to go with VideoLab. Glad we did, as they did a wonderful job. Their service included enhancement of the sound which was welcome, as some of the tapes were poorly recorded. Pricewise, not the cheapest around but we wanted the job done professionally. Fast turnaround too, took less than a week and we simply downloaded the completed mp3 files from a link they sent us. Can recommend!

Videolab did an amazing job of converting and enhancing my parents wedding video from a tape that’s over 30 years old. Would highly recommend their services!

I can definitely verify the 5 star reviews made by other customers from my own personal experience. It was these reviews that actually gave me the confidence to go through with this service. I needed an old family VHS tape to be digitised quickly as I was planning on using a small snippet for my grandfather's funeral in the coming days. I received the digitised copy of the original (untouched) + the small snippet to be used in the funeral the very next day. The quality of the digital files blew me away. Despite it being a stressful and undesirable time for me and my family, we were recipients of a highly personal customer service experience. I would recommend anyone wishing to preserve their old treasured family VHS tapes to go through VideoLab - you won't be disappointed!

DIGITISE YOUR OLD TAPES BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!!!I had a damaged miniDV tape from 10 years ago that I wanted to back-up. Digital tapes don't last as long as you would think, and it's very difficult to recover when they get damaged over time. I thought my old films were lost forever... Luckily, VideoLab were able recover the entire tape! Very professional, quick turn around and reasonably priced! Even if your tapes aren't damaged, get your old tapes backed-up ASAP as they are an unstable format and you may lose some precious memories.Highly recommend!

I didn't go ahead and book with these guys. Although I'm sure they're the best in the business $110 per vhs tape was a bit out of my reach.

Possibly the most expensive video conversion service around, but we chose not to skimp on something as precious as our family memories. We later discovered that VideoLab are used by some of this state's largest educational institutions, government departments and NGOs, due to their digital archiving experience - no surprise. We have since recommended them to friends who are also very pleased. 10/10 would recommend.
