Cool products and pleasant customer service. Ended up getting a unique Karst desk planner with stone paper I've never seen in any other stationary shop. Props to the staff member for seeing I wanted something a little different and delivering. Highly recommend if you want something special

Came here today (21st March) and experienced the WORST customer service ever from two women. No welcome greeting, no asking me if I needed help, not even eye contact. Workers were engrossed in conversation. After roaming around feeling unwelcome, I needed help as I couldn't find something. The woman who helped me seemed clueless as to the product, fumbling through the existing stock asking me if I'm sure this (another colour) isn't the one I want. The other worker came along to help and they just ended up talking amongst them about how it's probably not in stock blah blah blah. They then proceeded to tell one another that it's not here, BUT NOT ME. So I had to ask, is it out of stock?" And the worker said dryly

A gorgeous shop! Don’t forget to have a good look through the awesome greeting cards; some funny ones, some not so funny ones but all so very beautiful and high quality. Heaps of gifting pieces too.

If I was only rating the quality, product and range of stationery available at Milligram Doncaster, I would give it 5 stars. The absence of 4 stars in my review however is a result of the absence of customer service I experienced yesterday at Milligram Doncaster. When I entered the store, I saw two Asian female staff chatting away - one looked to my direction, asked me a standard ‘Hi, how are you?’ and then proceeded to return to what must have been an engrossing conversation with the other staff member. After this, not once did I get approached, rather I had to ask for assistance, which is fine and I’m happy to ask directly. I was looking for a gridded notebook so one of the staff members showed me where these were located and then asked me very dryly ‘Which one do you want?’ Didn’t bother to ask me what exactly I was looking for or attempted further to make a sale so I continued to browse. I found a Milligram notebook at the front of the store which I thought was gridded too; when I checked with the same staff member she looked at me and said ‘It’s Dot. Gridded.’ as if I was dumb for even asking such a question or not realising the difference between a dot grid and a normal grid. I can’t believe I even said sorry that I didn’t realise there was a difference! The service and energy I received from these staff made me feel like I had done them a disservice for entering their store 30 minutes before close and browsing for another 20 minutes. I get it. It’s Saturday night. You’re tired. Or you might have better things to do and you’re itching to finish work. Having worked in retail, I know this is a common thought, but if you don’t have the energy to face customers with politeness and a bit of inspiration for the entirety of your shift, especially during this busy shopping period, then you really shouldn’t be working in retail. What could have been a $50+ sale to finish off your day ended only in a $12 sale. Maybe that makes no difference to those staff members but I hope the business sees how vital the customer experience is in producing sales and keeping the business alive.

Really helpful staff & a great shop in general. Fantastic selection of Pens and a lot of other things to get distracted by.
