Please beware if renting off Lets Rent! We have rented many times and this was by far the worst experience. Rented a place on Stafford St, Paddington. So many issues with the place from day one. Agents were so slow with responding, were rude and so dismissive of major issues (which were only rectified AFTER we moved out!). Rooms were completely out of use due to water damage because of structural issues and old rusty taps, and it took huge arguments to get any sort of discount (we received none in one instance of not being able to use the downstairs gym for months). Owner always wanted to put defects through insurance which delayed repairs beyond belief. Also, I’m fairly certain they allowed the owner to come and view the property nearing the end of our tenancy, but said he was a builder - it was pretty obvious. Terrible experience!! I can’t see how most of these positive reviews aren’t fake.

The Worst Real Estate Slumlords in Australia - Renters Beware.Rented a property through lets rent for several years it was a total nightmare experience.Never give this business your direct debit details - their are Unconscionable thieves - read some of the other reviews here from renters.Never rent a property managed by this company - they engage in predatory practices and encourage their customers (owners/land lords) to refuse legally required repairs and maintenance such as removal of black mold.Their modis operandi involves misleading landlords into thinking they can get away with subverting the law, ignoring the rights and basic humanity of tenants and avoiding their obligations as providers of residential accommodation. When this inevitably drives a wedge between the owner and the tenant they paint themselves as the hero mediators.Truly gross people... avoid like the plague

RENTERS BEWAREAt the start these people were great. Just wait until you move out! It all goes downhill from there.We moved out and requested that the overpayment of rent “2 weeks” to be refunded, however they didn’t reply, didn’t acknowledge and didn’t care.After multiple emails and multiple calls, NO RESPONSE ON THE MATTER.Now we have been debited another full month of rent and yet still no response after multiple follow ups!Be careful with your bank details with these people.

I would warn property owners to think twice before engaging this company to lease and manage your property. A neighbour of mine is having terrible issues with new tenants who have rented the property next to her under false pretences (they didn’t sign a lease, someone not living at the property applied and signed it for them) and the occupiers are very disruptive, keeping her and her baby up very late with noise. She’s very upset and the agent is not acting on what is a breach of tenancy. As a real estate agent, I know this isn’t legal. You never know who they’re allowing to live in rental properties, because they’re fully aware of the situation.Judging by all the other ONE STAR reviews, I’m surprised Lisa is still in business.Edit: there was never a middle aged couple living there. It was a party house of 18 year old girls.

Just moved our rental to this company. Lisa and her team are so friendly and true professionals. They were responsive to all our requests and proactively meticulous with their screening process for our new tenants. Look forward to a long working relationship with this team.
