Cairns Esplanade Lagoon
Nice public open space. Multiple areas on the grass, picnic seating etc. to sit. Lots of free BBQs too.very nice lagoon style pool with a beach entrance for the kids. There were about 4 lifeguards on duty when we were there too.However, it was packed and so were all of the surrounding areas.

Cairns Esplanade Lagoon
Just had its annual clean and ready for winter tourist season. A great place to hang out with friends, take the kids for a safe dip or just grab a coffee and do a bit of sunbathing.

Is very safe here have a lifeguard in here supervision and the lagoon is no deep ,they have shower in the toilet also ,very convenient

Free swimming pool with beach next to the ocean. That's just awesome! There are lockers, toilets and showers. And also a power plug (but not near the mirrors). A small locker only costs 2$ for 2 hours. Sometimes you have to wait for a shower because there are only 6 (in the ladies bathroom). But there are also some outdoor showers.

A very neat place in the heart of Cairns - right next to the marina - and free. Beautiful pool area overlooking the water with a small beach area with change rooms and a small cafe. Would go back for sure.

Since the beach along Cairns is not open for swimming, they came up with this friendly spot for everyone to enjoy.Ill bring swimwear in my next visit here.

Beautiful area. Water was nice. Even on a rainy day there were people swimming. Area around it very nice and lots to see and do.
