What a credit to all involved with the creation of the museum. Wonderful history of the Cooee March in pictures and stories.Beautiful local art for sale. When the landscaping is finished that will be the icing on the cake. Well done Gilgandra

Gilgandra Museum and Historical Society
If you enjoy history and machinery, a must visit in Gilgandra for a very affordable $5 entry fee (kids get in free!). A great collection and well cared for, with labels and information for almost everything.We spent about an hour wandering through which was plenty for me, but you could spend hours there if you wanted to! It was great way to bring back some old memories.

Loved this place!!What a great find this museum was with so many items on display and such a wide variety of pieces to look at.The volunteers on site were super friendly and their passion for the region and the need to preserve these pieces of working history for many generations was both very impressive and obvious -We 100% recommend taking the time to stop in and you’ll need to factor in 1-2 hours to get the most from your stop.

Very interesting museum, need a couple hrs to fully view everything. Not everyone's cup of tea but mates and I enjoyed the displays and history. Great work by the members preserving some very important early australian machines and history

Just loved it. Excellent mix of exhibits from household items, farm equipment, transport and information about the life experience of those who inhabited and developed the area. Buildings relocated here and filled with items of interest.Well worth $5 entry to help maintain the site for future travellers to appreciate.Thanks Gilgandra -now get your younger people involved to keep it going.
