Faro
Faro was an amazing and unique experience and I would highly recommend it to those who enjoy artful cuisine in a truly unique and entertaining environment. The performers were brilliant and the cocktails were very well done. The food was super fresh with unique flavours (particularly enjoyed the ants!).

Faro
We arrived early and were seated basically on top of a couple of diners in the corner of the restaurant. Our party of three and the couple were the only five people in the restaurant and we had to basically whisper to avoid talking over each other. Later, once everyone was seated for service, I counted seven empty tables we could have been seated at rather than being jammed together with the percussion equipment. The performance artist with the shakers in our ears was obnoxious. The band was otherwise delightful. The first server discussed my request for a lacrosse-lite meal and then five minutes later another server came and had the same conversation. We were told it was a fine dining experience. In fine dinning, the servers don’t duplicate, they communicate with each other. The server was otherwise good. The food was extraordinarily. Every dish was expertly executed. The eggplant was perfection. The food quality was five stars, the problem with the food was that there wasn’t enough of it. When we got back to our AirBnB we ordered garlic bread — for $175, that should never be the case. I’m glad we paid for the art option but for the price of the tasting, it should have been included in the price, like it previously was. The last time we were at Faro was a few days after it opened. Aside from the gorgeous room, we weren’t given a lot of reasons to return again.

What an incredible dining experience. All 5 courses were absolute too notch, full of flavour & texture. The setting is simply stunning & the added musical sensory experience just elevated the whole night. This is a MUST DO experience when in Hobart. We will be back.

Faro
A really great overall experience. Although the food wasn’t always top notch, most of the time it was pretty tasty and the drinks were good. The show and the experience is what makes it a great time. The performers are awesome and really put on a fun show and the extra art experiences you can add on are well worth it (just made sure you book in early enough or you’ll have to go last after dinner). Walking into and out of the restaurant is great as you get to walk through part of Mona.

Faro delivers very very nice food, where every dish dazzles the taste buds. The menu showcases masterful flavors and meticulous presentation, leaving a lasting impression. This review would not be complete without mentioning Jason, our host for the evening, with his hilarious charm, Jason adds an extra layer of enjoyment. His quick wit and composed character create an atmosphere of laughter and delight, even moments of intrigue. Some of the best site gags I have ever seen in a restaurant of this caliber. From start to finish, Faro exceeds expectations with exceptional cuisine and Jason's quirky comedic brilliance makes the whole thing next level. A must-visit for those seeking a relaxed evening accompanied by unforgettable moments of humor. Thanks guys.

It was an amazing dining experience. One of the best I have tried. The spectacular outside views, the modern interior styles, the delicious set menu, the accompanying drinks and the live entertainment all come together in a perfect harmony. The staff were lovely.

Faro
One of the most interesting and unique dining experiences I have ever had. From the drink, to the set menu all the way through to the dining entertainment that was funny, quirky and provided a sensory experience. I loved this place. The entrance to the restaurant on its own is an amazing experience and this definitely is worth the cost and should be on your list for a trip to Hobart.

I had such a lovely experience here. The food was lovely, really interesting and so beautifully presented. The waiter was so nice and accommodating. The performer were so talented and you can tell they put a lot of pride and emotion into their work. This is a great way to spend a few hours in MONA. I would definitely go again and would be interested to see what the next theme and menu is!

Faro
Incredible. the food was some of the most creative i’ve had in my life and a wonderful example of creative expression in food. Everything was meat-free (fish and shellfish on the last plate) and the meal was 5 course with moorilla wines paired with each dish.our server, Jason, was genuine, thorough, attentive, knowledgeable and funny.we stayed in the pavilions on site and many of the dining guests were folks also staying at the pavilions so by the end of breakfast the next day, you felt as though you knew the people. The dining experience was once in a lifetime, really. I believe we spent about $200/person, but what you’re paying for is the experience as well as the food. I would do it again fwiw, but i don’t know if i’ll be in tasmania again.During dinner there is performance art (music and interpretive dance by a man who resembles andy warhol). the music is lovely and the dancing is memorable.i’ve had several course meals in my life and this one had to be easily the most curated and memorable. if you’re keen on adventurous and beautiful, expressive food — book a reservation at Faro.

I had such an amazing lunch here. The dishes were interesting and flavourful. My fav was the wallaby tartare. The performance was beautiful and artistic. For me, it's very affordable to have such delicious foods + drinks and get to enjoy an unique show at just $150 (wine pairing available as extra). Worth every penny!
