Dandongadale Falls
Very fun 4X4 driving experience via lake cobbler track.2WD can also access via cobbler lake road. Do not attempt cobbler track.Trail head located on south-west of the hut with no sign or mark.Very short bush work, approx 15min one way. But I spend near an hour on the top since the view is spectacular! The panoramic view is simply breathtaking.Trail been damaged by fire and not well restored thus u would better follow a guide( All Trails app for example). Few pink mark can be find thoughOverall well worth visiting if u made ur way to cobbler lake. Recommend to experienced hiker24 May 2021

Dandongadale Falls
One of the best kept secrets of Victoria, Dandongadale falls is Victoria's highest single drop falls and accessible generally in a 2wd car in summer. The road to the start of the walking track is open year round so snow is possible in Winter excluding the use of a 2wd. The falls are best seen in Autumn after a good rain or in Spring as they don't have the biggest catchment and so can slow to a trickle over Summer. The walking track to the falls starts to the east of the Lake Cobbler hut and heads out on an unmarked trail to the most Eastern set of fall called the Stair Case". Just before you reach the top of these you will see the trail branches of to the left heading uphill. A short 10 minute walk up and the down will bring you to the main Dandongadale waterfall. The edge has no barrier so is not very suitable for children but provides the most amazing view of the valley. The third and most western set of falls (London Bridge) is entirely off track and not suitable to anyone except the most experienced bushwalkers."

Dandongadale Falls
Absolutely stunning spot with world class views. A bit of a hike from lake Cobbler but absolutely worth the trip. Best access is by 4x4 or you will need to hike a fair way. But all maps and websites say that. So reviews complaining of this are silly. Also the path is absolutely not blocked if you no anything about bush walking. Please make the trip the view is amazing!!!

Views are unreal and well worth the walk.Would highly recommend. We did come across some snakes along the way so it's important to keep a look out.

Was a great disappointment as the map showed the way to the falls by actually taking to lake cobbler. Not 2wd friendly at all. 4wd needed unless you want to take a risk. The path to the falls from Lake cobbler was blocked as well. No joy.

Dandongadale Falls
Amazing highest single drop Waterfall in Victoria, and the third highest in Australia. It is actually 3 of them and are spectacular during the wet months. They cascade from Lake Cobbler. Some incredible views can be seen from the trail. Make sure you get to all 3 tiers however the top one is kind of hard to reach but if you experienced and have good hiking boots you can do it. My friend have been to the base of the falls, you have to walk up the river as the scrub is too thick on either side. There wasn't that much water in the river. It was about 1 1/2 hours rambling through the river. There are a couple of places as you get closer to the falls with some large boulders that require a boost up. They didn't take rope or any climbing aids so they just scrambled. At the base is a large pool with crystal clear water with fresh water crays and fish. They entered down stream, where a log bridge go's over the river on the Whitfield - Cobbler Road. There's a small car park there. Start where the whitfield-cobbler road meets the dandongadale river there is a small parking area , they got into the river at that spot, the river has quite slippery rocks and plenty of fallen trees in it so the going is reasonbly slow. Might not be passable after substantial rain though, as the water was only just over knee deep when they went up.
