NIGHTMARE DIRECTNot hygienic place: Each of the four boxes I opened from this place came with whitetail spiders, some of them huge (I'm attaching some images), one box with a massive huntsman spider. This place is not hygienic (to be polite in my definition). Not good, specially for a baby room.High chances they will fail with your delivery: I purchased products that were supposed to be available and delivery time was supposed to be 2 to 5 days at the time I placed the order. Not true. Apparently, all products where available but in some warehouse in Australia and took 3 weeks (after many follow-ups) to receive them. There was another lady complaining about the same issue when I went to pickup my order and her case was worst as she never received her products (after months of placing her order), and they didn't want to refund her money. She was just fighting to get her money back now.Terrible customer service: After 10 days of placing the order (which I thought it was available) I requested a refund. Immediately they refused to refund my own money, which I found very unfair, considering the products were delayed and it should be my choice to get my money back as a customer.Do yourself a favor and take your order somewhere else.

***IMPORTANT***THEY ARE THIEVES. THEY EVEN DON'T PROVIDE THE CREDIT THEY TOLD THAT I GET!!!HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE IN AUSTRALIA?!!!Like all other reviews, we are ripped off by this store. we have ordered a cot worth $900 on the basis that it will arrive in two weeks time. We trusted the seller words as he ensured us we have it. After two weeks and no email/call from them to pick up the items, we started calling the store and emailing them. No luck in getting a response to any of the calls. We then decided to buy another cot as our baby was due very soon and we didn't want to risk it. After 4 weeks we were finally able to talk to them and were told the cot is still not here to pickup. We asked for a refund and the seller refused to pay us our hard earned money claiming this our store policy and don't care if you are waited another 6 months. Don't ever trust any word that they say to you, they want to convince you to buy then no refund for their delays. We now don't have the cot and haven't received our money as well. We are going to take to VCAT as per our lawyer advice. It seems everyone is experiencing the same manner with this store.

LOST LAYBY PAYMENTS.ORDER ARRIVED OVER A MONTH LATE.WRONG MATTRESS DELIVERED WHICH WAS OF A LESSER QUALITY AND CHEEPER THAN WHAT WE PAID.ALMOST THREE MONTHS LATER AND ENDLESS CALLS AND ARGUMENTS WE GET A DIRTY AND TORN MATTRESS THATS NOT IN THE ORIGINAL PACKAGING.This is a summery of our dealings with this company and JERRY. After all this the manager JERRY has the audacity to say my partner is rude when she is just fed up of the lies, poor service and terrible condition of the stock we are receiving. My partner posted her own review and JERRY called her directly and threatened to not replace the mattress unless she takes her review down! There are photos of the mattress we were sent. JERRY also stated that he would come to our house to deliver the mattress. So now I'm worried that JERRY the store manager who is upset by our review is going to come to our house! Cocoon, the company that supplies our mattress has stepped in and is dealing with JERRY for us so we don't have to. It's not Cocoons fault that Baby Directs JERRY has Terrible customers service skills and just poor people skills in general however, they are still rectifying the situation for us.

Incredible customer service for a company with expertly chosen parenting supplies! I placed an online order and then called to see if I could click and pick it up that day. Within 15 minutes, they emailed me to let me know my order was ready. I used just the order number from the email to pick up the item.

We ordered our daughter a desk in January which never turns up. We tried for weeks to phone the company to try and find out what was going on. When we finally got in touch with a person we were told it would be ready in April. Well it's April and again I cannot get in touch with a person. WE WILL BE GETTING A FULL REFUND.And now in an attempt to avoid my calls my number has been blocked for baby direct.

Worst experience ever !!! Will never shop here again . We ordered thousands of dollars worth of stuff for our baby almost 7 months befor our due date and my poor wife had nothing but stress going into labour knowing our stuff hadn't arrived after many messages, calls and lies later we finally received our stuff 7 months on I will happily pay extra to shop elsewhere

LIES LIES AND MORE LIES. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM BABY DIRECT IN ANY STATE. They do not keep accurate accounts of your lay-by payments. They do not have the stock on hand. They substitute with lesser quality where they can. They sent us a cheaper mattress than the one supplied by Cocoon and then after 3 months trying to chase it up they call me rude and go into panic mode because I threaten to come into the store. So they sent me the right mattress that is dirty and ripped for a baby born prematurely with underdeveloped lungs. The manager JEREY IS AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE to deal with. I have had to go to Cocoon directly for resolution. I suggest everyone else does the same. Go to the manufacturer of your purchases.EDIT: Cocoon have now stepped in and resolved our issue after Jerry rang me in a threatening manner to take down this review. He then said that he was coming to our home to deliver the mattress…but wouldn’t give it to me if I didn’t take down this review. I can’t praise Cocoon enough for their help and for dealing with Jerry so I don’t have to.

Do not buy from this company. I purchased a cot from them & chose to collect. I asked if I could pick it up from the Preston store as it’s close and they said there was no stock there and pick up was ringwood. I then called as I never received an email to say I can collect and confirmed they had stock there and they told me they did. I drove 1hour to collect only to get there and be told they had no stock there. I was never offered delivered at their expense I had to tell them to deliver it to me & I wasn’t paying for delivery after they wasted my time. I then had to call and chase them to confirm when it’s being delivered. After no calls backs or delivery I asked for my order to be cancelled and a refunded and they are reading my messenger messages and not replying and ignoring all emails. I have lodged a dispute with my bank and I have raised a complaint with consumer affairs. This business needs to be shut down. As you can see from reviews I’m not the first person they have ignored or not refunded and I’m sure I won’t be the last. I need a cot for my baby, I’m pregnant & this is not the sort of stress I need but this company doesn’t care about that they only care about taking your money.

Cant give ZERO starts and that's a shame!We ordered a cot in July that never arrived and after 2 months we decided to cancel the order and get a refund.. and guess what.. we are STILL waiting for the refund. I have been calling / emailing them every single week! Its worse than a nightmare because you don't know when it will end! Cant talk to the head office and the only person that is talking to me is not doing a very good job! We are thinking to legally move against them. So a piece of advice NEVER BUY through this company!

DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM HERE!!Ordered a ride on car for my sons birthday paid close to $800, 3 weeks later they cancel my order and promise to refund me within 24-48 hours it has now been 4 weeks and still no refund. Jerry (manager) and Mary are now not answering my calls or emails and if they do they say “oh refund is getting processed in 24-48 hours” just give me my money back this is an absolute JOKE!
