Oh Kim's Hair Salon

I recently visited this salon for a hair straightening service, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of service and the friendly staff. The stylist who attended to me was highly skilled and took great care to ensure that I was comfortable throughout the process. The end result was amazing, and my hair looked sleek and beautiful. The customer service was exceptional, and the staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome and valued. Overall, I had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this salon to anyone looking for a great hair care experience.

I haven been here for almost 3 years had no problems until the new male hairdresser came. He always has his own opinion and not listen to what I really want. I have let him cut my hair numerous times and theres still no changes. All he want is to thin and do a bowl cut for men’s hair. I would like to give a lower rating but the past few years has been great :)

Terrible hair cut experienceI have been here before but this is the worst time and I will never go back here.The guy who cut my hair did not understand “layers”. I had to ask the owner to translate into Korean so he can understand. Many times during the cut, I asked him to cut to a specific length and he kept failing to do what I asked! He had to cut and cut again which took a lot of my time.In the end, there was no layer in my hair! The owner had to explain to him what layers are. And he did a terrible job and completely ruined my hair. Also did not cut both sides of my hair evenly. He took so long to do the hair cut. It was not a complicated haircut at all. I had to renew my parking and in the end could not stay any longer. I was so so not happy with the service. I walked out of the shop with hair in terrible style and shape. Have not seen any hair salon that let customers leave without at least styling their hair.He didn’t communicate well in English so it was very hard to make him understand or understand him. It is also very hard to talk to anyone there including the owner who didn’t even pay attention to how her staff is doing, whether they are doing a good cut or not. They all speak Korean well so if you don’t speak Korean, don’t come here.

Second time coming here and they never disappoint! Service is always top notch & staffs are so friendly. Would highly recommend! :)

Awesome work. I came here for Japanese hair straightening. Very good results. Definitely recommend to ppl who have thick curly hair to try this salon:) Lovely staff too.

Been here twice. I had a hair cut each time from two different male hairdressers. They cut my hair exactly as I asked. I’m very impressed so far. The one who smokes was very sweet to me and I had the best service from him.

Very very disappointed with the service here. I had booked an appointment for 4:10 pm but then I arrived early at 3:30 so I waited until 4 . Shop was quite busy so I thought I would wait more then i waited until 4:30 no one attended me and when i went to the owner and told her I booked in for haircut and asked how long will it take she just said ok ,after that again i waited until 5:05 pm after that I couldn’t stand it and i just left. They were just giving priority to male customers i guess.just wasted 1.5 hrs of my day sitting there. I would not recommend this place to anyone. You wont feel welcomed.

I recently visited Oh Kim’s Hair Salon located at the Grote Street in Adelaide with high hopes of getting a professional hair straightening treatment. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory, and I feel compelled to share my disappointment with others. First and foremost, the quality of the hair straightening service was abysmal. Instead of the sleek and smooth results I had anticipated, my hair looked frizzy and not straight at all. It was clear that the stylist lacked the necessary skills or attention to detail to properly execute the treatment. As someone who had paid a significant amount of money for this service, I expected much better results.Adding insult to injury, the customer service at the Hair Salon was nothing short of appalling. Throughout my visit, I felt completely ignored and neglected. The staff showed no acknowledgement of my presence and seemed disinterested in addressing my concerns.Moreover, the response from the salon when I expressed my disappointment was extremely poor. I contacted them multiple times to voice my concerns and request a resolution, but they offered no assistance or even a basic apology for the inconvenience caused. It was as if my complaints fell on deaf ears, leaving me feeling unheard and undervalued as a customer.To make matters worse, the salon canceled my appointment not once, but twice, without providing a valid reason or offering an alternative solution. This lack of professionalism and disregard for my time only added to the already frustrating experience. It became abundantly clear that they had little regard for their customers' needs or schedules.Lastly, I cannot overlook the exorbitant prices charged by the salon. Considering the poor quality and subpar customer service, the exorbitant prices seemed unjustifiable and unreasonable. My experience at this salon was nothing short of a disaster. From the poor hair straightening results to the lack of customer service and the unprofessional handling of my complaints, there was not a single aspect that met my expectations. I strongly advise anyone considering this salon to look elsewhere for their haircare needs.

Fantastic salon! I came for the Japanese hair straightening a month ago and my hair is bleached they did what they could and I am very happy with the results. The staff are lovely and kind, they really look after you.Would be coming back many times.Photos are of prices on my visit.
