Picturesque forest and the babbling brook of Sassafras Creek on the perimeter. It also boasts a well maintained soccer ground, playground and the local swimming pool.

Ok. We couldn't walk the track, lots of fallen trees and a damaged bridge with no cautioning signs. There is also a water treatment plant made there with not enough information to tell you what the purpose of it actually is. The gym on the side is massively cute. It has a functioning BBQ.

Excellent open areas with some picnic tables and bins, and lovely walks through the surrounding forest along Sassafras Creek.Amazing variety of fungi.

Pleasant venue for an afternoon family gathering. Toilets 150m from camp-site. Playground and large green field for playing sport. Plenty of parking. Quite a few fallen trees in the woods so be alert. One large branch dropped about 30m from us. A boy caught an Eel in the creek fishing. We meet every year there.

Just off Monbulk Road in (you guessed it) Monbulk, you will find Baynes Park. It has everything you need in a stop over point, except public toilets (these can be found in the town centre). It has several picnic tables (under cover) a clean electric BBQ and water fountain. There's a cricket pitch and soccer oval, and a nearby children’s playground. Best of all there is a charming creek that runs nearby and which is worth a look. A good spot for a break from driving, and the kids saying “Are we there yet??”

This large flat oval sports ground is edged by beautiful shady oaks and beeches with seats, water fountain and covered picnic pavilion and gass Bbq right next to parking area. The larger perimeter has mountain ash with fern understory and tracks following the monbulk creek. Sweet paths take you to pretty spots to paddle or enjoy sitting under tree ferns. Quite magical. Weeds need attention but the oval grass is immaculate. Dogs play joyously, peaceful grern scenery. Lovely
