We went to this restaurant for my son's birthday and the restaurant itself is beautifully decorated. However the attitude of the restaurant staff was appalling. Initially the front of house staff member went out of their way to accommodate us including table decorations for my son's birthday. I ordered the Marron Chowder which states on the menu includes chunks of Marron, of which there was not one piece, just a few prawns and frozen shrimp in a tasteless liquid. When the front of house staff collected our plates I stated I was not happy with my meal, my exact words were 'I was disappointed with my meal as there was not any Marron' and they replied 'it states on the menu its cooked in Marron broth and we've never had complaints before.' (This is incorrect as i have since read the reviews) Then took our plates away. My daughter then overheard the front of house staff and the chef talking about us in the kitchen which I will not repeat as the language was disgraceful. When paying for our meal my daughter in-law confronted them about about this to which she was told we were disappointing customers. My family and I have worked in customer service for many years so I am always careful my feedback is provided in a respectful manner and I can honestly say I have never been treated this way by restaurant staff before.

Just felt I should add, that I had an evening meal here in July, whilst staying at the Lodge, which by the way is fantastic, excellent renovations, very clean and modern. Back to the meal. I had the trout and it was tepid and ordinary, and did not warrant the cost. I would stay here, but not eat here again.

Delicious food and amazing service!I had the chowder (a perfect winter warmer) and my partner had the rib eye. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we were well looked after. Thank you!

If you fancy something a bit different from a chicken parmy, or run-of-the-mill pub grub, you'll definitely find it here.The menu has a selection of interesting options worthy of a top-class restaurant, with a special option listed daily.The waiting staff were very pleasant, and the food was beautifully presented.The restaurant has seating indoors and out, and looks out onto greenery or the lake.It's not open every night, so be sure to check. Booking is essential.

Quite a mixed experience at Chefingo's. Bereft of ambiance and sparesly populated we still had the waitress apologising for Chef Ingo being behind".Our meatballs for entree left much to be desired. Far from fresh. The steak was cooked to perfection and would have been a better dish without so much rich sauce.The barramundi was a good dish."

What a surprise, we had a beautiful dinner and excellent service provided by the staff. Meals were delicious, highly recommend if you’re staying at the Lodge or visiting Pemberton.

Officially the worst breakfast I've ever had! For a buffet breakfast here was only one type of egg on offer (and those scrambled eggs looked revolting), and when asked if they could cook a poached or fried egg, they refused. The hashbrowns were extremely overcooked to an inedible level. The sugar bowl had clumps in it, telling me they never clean it with people putting dirty spoons in the sugar bowl. The variety wasn't there like you'd expect for a buffet breakfast, especially if you have dietary requirements. When we paid, we learnt that the owner is the chef. This morning we are left with a foul taste in our mouths, hungry, upset, and $30 each out of pocket. It was definitely not worth $30 each, from variety to food quality. Such a shame because the venue itself is stunning.

If I could give more stars I absolutely would.. the food is absolutely outstanding, the chef/owner is such a lovely pleasant man and I feel so privileged to have been able to experience this place for my birthday getaway. I could go on forever about how amazing this place is but you should go and experience it for yourself, you will not be disappointed. I will remember this lovely place forever and If I ever come back to Pemberton again I will most definitely return to Chefingos at the Forrest lodge resort. The food, the atmosphere, the location and scenery is all absolutely top notch.

Went for dinner, two adults and two kids.We ordered the smoked pork, the turkey breast and a kids spaghetti meatballs.The price is expensive, especially given the size of the portions. Approx. $45 - $50 per main.Luckily, the small portions were a blessing as the food was not good. All the veggies were over cooked except for the watery mashed potatoes which were undercooked with large lumps of hard potato.Everything was massively over salted with strong pungent flavours.The sauces were not good, the spag sauce tasted like it came from a can and the spaghetti was undercooked. Not al dente, undercooked.Some positives:The dining room is clean and nicely furnished.It’s in a beautiful setting with a large garden area overlooking a paddock and a dam.This was nice as it was a great spot for my son and I to vomit what little of the food we ate.Honestly, the worst meal I have had in a long time. Probably THE worst, given the price.We practically ran out of there and have gone to the pub for a pizza. Can’t be worse.

Fabulous food, friendly staff and the highlight of our visit to Pemberton. It’s part of the Forest Lodge resort but open to the public. Excellent.
