For all you who have issues with captain’s food please think again. Go to other surrounding fish shops and make a comparison.The price quality quantity and service is great. The shop is busy. This says a lot !

Place has gone down hill , get the steak dinner n chips , tiniest sad thin piece of steak ive ever seen. Even their lamb souvlakis have barely any meat anymore , and half of it is the fatty bits of meat you cant eat. $14-20 for garbage , PASS.

Last night was sadly a fat pack with a bit of lamb as opposed to a lamb pack with greek salad. Have been coming here for over 10 years - never been more disappointed. Please guys review your sources of meat and quality.

Captain's Choice Fish & Chips
This is the last time I give these people my business. They always “forget” items from your order. Last night as I took my package I asked “is everything in here?” To which I received a rather terse “YES!” “Are you sure?” I enquired. An arrogant shouted “YES!” Was my response. We’ll guess what? This happens so much it just can’t be an unlucky coincidence! Anyone else have the same problem?

I’ve been coming here for years and have always absolute loved it!Went in today, to get a GSP for lunch and it’s sad to say I spent $20 and I wouldn’t have fed what I got to my dog… I asked for no cheese there was cheese, extra sauce it barely had any on it when I got it… the meat was soggy and chewy. The chips had no salt.

We live locally and like to support local, went to captains choice on a Friday night like we normally do and ordered 6 x Blue Grenadier chips and potato cakes asked for or fish and chips to be cooked well done, unfortunately when we got home the fish was not cooked properly batter was soggy and fish fell apart. Called and spoke to the owner explain what happened and she was in denial, she said when your next in to let her know.Went there the following week and told me that nothing was wrong with the fish and wasn’t excepting responsibility. As a long time customer I believe it should have been handled better.

Used to be great with large thick pieces of flake. Changed owner and now the fish pieces are thin tiny strips. Shame.

Very disappointed by the quality and portion of the HSP. $19 for large HSP that looks like a small portion is just sad. Meat was also chopped very haphazardly with

Consistently excellent fish and chips at competitive prices. You can't do better than the Captains if you live remotely near Forest Hill.Everything is tasty and on point. Nice clean operation. Never, ever any quality issues or use of dirty oil, etc as you often find with Fish and Chip outlets..The burger offerings are however pretty bland and uninteresting.I drive 8 km to get my F&C from the Captains and I pass at least four competing operators who just aren't up to expectations.
