Old style but people which own the business are very friendly. the food is always fresh.and they take pride in what they do .Only issues I have it is not open on Sunday.....To about lunch time would be,good.

Great local hamburger shop. Grest chips. Also operates as a small bakery, so fresh bread and some pastries always available.

Great little takeaway place. Really good prices. Also has a bakery combined, so you can get good pies, and other pastries.Service takes a while but it's just one lady doing everything. Your not going to pay heaps, so a little wait and you save heaps.Great for burgers, bacon and egg rolls, sausage rolls, pies, chicken rolls.

Very affordable and great service. The lady running the store is nice. The food is great too, better than much more expensive places in the city.

Sweet little old lady runs this bakery/hot food shop. She's very friendly and welcoming, the sweets are very nice and are at a reasonable price. Will visit again.

East Hills Takeaway is an interesting place. Situated on the nicely elevated side of Maclaurin street, number 34 and right opposite the pub which is quite popular, it's changed little over the years. The question is: How has this owner survived opposite something like a good pub? The simple answer: Consistantly good product at a consistently good price. Now if you want a sit-down dine-in with lots of elbow room, a waitress, a band and all the bells and whistles, go to the pub and pay for that. If you want a traditional takeaway, like a good traditional burger, a good, strong cup of coffee, fish, chips, sweets or a loaf of bread, still oven warm, East Hills Takeaway is definitely the place for that. Pies of various kinds, sausage rolls, pastry (savoury or sweet) and always made on the premises. Family owned and run by the most pleasant people for more than 10 years, I continue to go back. Go and give it try. Off street parking next-door but one, opposite the pub.
