The Terrace Seafood Restaurant of Maleny
We stopped in for lunch on a roadtrip to Maleny. The staff were friendly. The service was quick. The food was fresh and delicious. It's not cheap, but the luxury of having table service with a beautiful view is worth the price. I had fisherman plate and my husband who doesn't eat seafood, had the pork belly. We'll be back.

The whole experience was excellent. The service was tops and the food was some of the best we have ever eaten.To note the meat feast, 10/10 and the brownie! Easy to see why its been there for so many years! If your looking for fine dining with a relaxing feel do NOT miss this place

This restaurant has a wonderful view of the hinterlands from Melany. It's a seafood restaurant in the mountains with an exceptional quality of food. Every meal on the table was a taste sensation. Visually also the meals were presented very well. Best baramundi my wife has ever had.even my chips were so good.

We ordered a seafood steak combo for 2 . It was amazing, staff are friendly & helpful, checking how the seafood platter was going before steak dish started. Absolutely loved dinner, yes more than we would usually spend well worth it.

Food was great, not the greatest meal I've ever had but certainly decent and well above standard pub fare. And don't be put off by the low-rent printed menus. Can't think of a single thing to nitpick.We had the coconut prawns that were huge and flavourful, the surf and turf that had decent cut of steak, the asain basket that was better than expected, and finally the creme brulee. Again, not the best brulee I've ever had, but far better than most

Wonderful seafood feast experience! Very kind and lovely staff. Cold and hot seafood platters were massive so we had the leftovers packed for take away. Well worth the money and you won’t regret.

The Terrace Seafood Restaurant of Maleny
For a $300 plus meal for two, was disappointing due to some simple issues. Wait staff whilst very busy had a great attitude, despite being new. The $200 red balloon voucher was poor value for what was offered. Our issues: small servings and value vs cost. The size serving issue seems Red Balloon related compared to other table serving sizes. Some of the seafood was not fresh, the prawns were mushy, were not chilled and the whole seafood meal had sitting out of the fridge far too long. Mentioned the issue with the prawns lack of freshness at bill time, management was totally dismissive and ignored my comment/feedback.The lobster was just ok, the oysters were very good, the substitute prawns (for oysters for wife) were appallingly old, mushy and unable to be cleaned due to dissolving upon trying to open them. There was no hand washing bowl (until the very end of the meal) so we had to use a $10 bottle of water to rinse the seafood off our hands. Wine choices were a bit limited for mainstream type choices, in Australia really? The scotch fillet steak was beautifully prepared and presented. One tiny Kipfler potato each was a bit parsimonious. The worst moment (and was this an attempt at embarrassment?) The eftpos machine would not communicate with bank, the person assisting kept advising loudly that it was declined; in the company of other diners lining up to pay, implying that insufficient funds were present. Such poor communication. That really made me angry especially on top of the rest of relatively inconsequential performance failures. Never again, prior two visits was no enticement and a family gift was the reason we were there, we came with a positive attitude and excitement towards coming meal. Left underwhelmed, disappointed and appalled at the EFTPOS failure communications and treatment.
