Here we are in February 2023 and I have been waiting to hear about an appointment with you since September 2021 when I was referred under my NDIS plan. Absolutely disgusting that you have not bothered to follow-up with me after I spoke with you about my NDIS plan. I'm so sick and tired of businesses like you that are not only unprofessional in treating people in this manner, but you cause further distress to vulnerable people like myself. Shame on you. EDIT after response from owner: Your response is absolute garbage, I spoke with your office and was told that you would telephone me further to our discussion. You did NOT do this. If in fact you had tried to contact to me as you say, then why did you not leave a voicemail and I could have returned your call? Because you DIDN'T and you're making if it, THAT'S WHY. If you don't have the basic courtesy to follow-up with me in this manner, then what are you complaining now about? Do better and then you would not have my review as such.

Max and the team at MVS are consummate professionals. What stood out to me was Max’s ability to traverse some confronting topics with sensitivity and a nonjudgmental approach. The care and attention to detail is second to none, and leaving a session I always knew I would have practical strategies that I could use moving forward. I cannot recommend MVS Group enough, coming from a clinical background myself I understand holistic care and this clinic delivers in spades.

I spent two days on the phone speaking with psychologists to select one I felt could help with a relative who was experiencing identity issues and associated difficulties. Max came across as a refreshingly honest, humble yet confident practitioner. After speaking with Max in person and entrusting this relative to his care, I felt very supported and confident he would help. Max has restored this person's self-worth and given him the strengths and strategies to accept himself as the person he is and to manage the on-going problems he faces. Both my relative and I have been treated with the utmost dignity and respect. My respect for Max's competence and qualities as a clinical psychologist and fellow human is constantly reinforced.

Max has always been so warm, kind and patient. Offering the best advice and help to get me through some challenging situations. I’m so grateful to have found MVS group and highly recommend Max!

Max is an extremely professional therapist. He strikes a good balance between listening, helping you understand and honest appraisals. Would return to sessions with Max if circumstances required, but pressed pause on sessions feeling confident moving forwards due to his help.

Paraphrased conversation I had with one of the psychologists:Psychologist: Why do you think people go to self help groups like Alcoholics Anonymous?"Me: "Probably because they are looking for support and want to be around other people that share their struggle"Psychologist: "You're engaging in mind reading"This was such an obviously silly thing to say and it was a concerning indication that the psychologist was either:A: Using psych terms in a vacuous manner just for the sake of using themB: Using psych terms incorrectlyor C: Lacking an understanding of pretty basic social situations to a concerning degree.This example was symbolic of a general trend of the psychologist using terms incorrectly and jumping to strange conclusions without a clear line of reasoning behind them.She was a lovely person but at the end of the day I went through 7 or so sessions

I have worked with Max for a couple of years or so now. He has evolved with me over that time, meeting my needs as they change, adjusting to the work that I am willing to do and pushing me where we know I need it. He is patient, curious and unafraid to give you piercing insight and suggestion. You will find Max to be your best advocate while helping you to see things in yourself that provide a brighter outlook and reduce unhealthy behaviours. I can confidently say that I wouldn't have made the progress I have without his perspective. I couldn't recommend him more highly.

After dealing with a long-term issue for years and being unsuccessful in finding the right help, I finally found Max. He is highly professional, compassionate and non-judgmental.
