Sunshine Garden Playgroup

It is rare to find a person who can hold the space for an entire group of exhausted, frazzled mums. But Lila does this with ease and grace. I feel so fortunate to have found the Sunshine Garden playgroup. My son has thrived by participating in Lila’s beautiful rhythm of puppet stories, singing and bread making. And as a new mum, I have found wonderful and meaningful ways to connect to both my child and motherhood.

Lila creates a truly nurturing space for both the children and carers, with delightful song, connection to nature, crafts and bread baking. Being a part of this nourishing community has been really supportive for my personal growth as a parent and connected me to some beautiful friends. I hope others can have this same experience at Sunshine Garden. Thank you Lila xx

Sunshine Garden Playgroup is a very special place to come each week with your child. Lila has created a beautifully nurturing community where parents and children alike feel supported and cared for. Every week, we look forward to her incredible puppet show as she brings to life children’s stories about the wonders of life’s simple pleasures and Mother Nature. The songs we sing together reflect the turning of the seasons and the themes within her puppet show. The children love watching the bread dough being tickled and stretching out of her bowl each week, then forming the dough into snails, worms and other fantastic shapes. The garden is filled with so many interesting areas for the children to explore including a well loved rocking horse, rocking boat, pikler triangle, slide, wagon, mud kitchen, monkey bars, swing, wooden toys, dress ups and a sandpit with lots of kitchen equipment for making mud pies. At morning tea time, we share our freshly baked bread and warming Chai tea with milk and honey, together with a lunch box of fruit and veggies. We love creating the gorgeous crafts that Lila plans each week - they become such a special part of our home and my children always love playing with them. The seasonal community events such as apple picking, lantern walk and spring festival are always amazing experiences to take part in and it’s so wonderful to get to know the full Sunshine Garden community. Thank you Lila for creating such a wonderful place for us to nurture our children.

Lila holds a really beautiful nurturing and safe space for her playgroup families. We love being amidst the colourful seasonal blooms in the garden and the calm rhythmic atmosphere. Sunshine Garden has brought my socially anxious daughter out of her shell - we’ve loved the songs, stories, bread making, playing, crafting and sharing with the other families who have become our friends.

Our time with the sunshine garden family has been magical, inspiring and full of such love. I will always cherish the moments of joy and wonderment on my girls faces as they listened to Lila tell enchanting stories and as they watched with baited breath as the bread dough was about to be shared out for kneading. I have been humbled by the many lessons I have learnt while watching my children play and enjoy the simple things. We will never forget our brief but nurturing time being apart of the sunshine garden family.

Sunshine Gardens is a truly magical place in so many ways. The garden space itself abundantly displays each season with its vibrant displays of colour and growth. There are so many areas for the children to play and to explore, and plenty of space for them to be free.Lila hosts the playgroup with such love, care, sincerity and wisdom. Lila creates a very calm and nuturing environment for the children to experience, grow and just be. Her story time is magical and she creates a dough from which we bake the tummies bread each week to share at morning tea time. The children absolutely love it!!The playgroup families I have met are lovely. They are a very supportive and welcoming group. We look forward to playgroup each week. Sunshine Garden is not any ordinary playgroup, but an enchanting oasis where parents and children are lead through a beautiful rythm of craft, play, song, and story telling based on Steiner philosophy. Lila, holds space with such grace, care, professionalism and heartfelt intention backed by many years of experience. Parents learn craft skills and projects are brought together with joy and laughter. We loved our time there and it was often the highlight of our week.
