Spotlight Essendon

Fantastic store with excellent friendly staff. He sorted out all my needs and was very knowledgeable.

Hood range of fabrics, I came here with my partner who has been promising fit some time to make me a shirt. We can now eliminate the excuse of no fabric from the list!Some great bargains to be found in the bin end, $2 a meter!!!I also had a look at the roller blinds, looks like they have a better range than binning. I’ll be back after we measure our windows:)

A large store among DFO with plenty of parking. I found that staff members scarce when you want assistance from them and when I did finally find somone to assist me, they simply pointed out that the item I was after was in the back corner of the store. No offer to help, just pointed the direction and then walked off. Of course when I looked for what I wanted I coukdnt find it so I left empty handed. I have had similar problems before with staff at both this store and the Maribyrnong Store. I won't be shopping at Spotlight again.

Great selection of baking goods and other awesome things I didn't expect but the staff are useless. I asked if the price for the European pillows are the same as the standard pillows and just repeatedly got told that if there aren't any on the shelves they don't have any in stock" when I tried to explain my question. The opposite of helpful..."

I went to this store on the 24th of June around 3ish and I was greeted by a very nice person, I wish they had a name tag but all it said was trainee. They had long black curly hair and they were exceptional and making customers feel welcome :) I appreciated their Great service.

Pretty big store. They have a huge collection of household items, including decorations, kitchen items, sewing and texting items, handicrafts, artificial flowers, rugs, table clothes and runners, pillows, and much more. Their prices are pretty good and you often get extra discounts on most of their items. Their collection ranges from very cheap to pretty good quality ones. So, you have a range of options to choose from. Often, i visit without any need to buy anything. But i always end up making some purchase there.

Great place for buying home stuff like fabric, bed sheets, curtains etc easy parking.

I love spotlight but one big major problem and fault ... Where are the toilets . That's a very very big store. I spent more then 20min -1hr in that store . When I was pregnant no toilet the nearest toilet is across the road in the freedom building I had to walk from the end store I had to leave my basket took me 15min up and back and by then exhausted so hot n bothered. I went home. Last week my three year even I took him first to the toilet before I went in 10 min in she was screaming mum I can't hold it in I need to go do poo I can't hold it .. he total trained to go toilet but he 3 years old . . Yelling saying I gotta go I gotta go BC he knew how far the toilet were ..I seen so. Many senior ask for the bathroom and get so stressed out when there none . . Ure telling me in all that space you have can't put a toilet for staff and customers . You are a big super store . And that also mean all ure staff need 10min to go to the loo BC that is a good walk . For a women 3 times at least 30min list .. come on ..

Best spotlight North side! Filled with goodies. Staff were very busy but it's not their fault the company doesn't put on more staff.. The store was clean and well kept. Excited for my next spotlight adventure!

I had really bad experience in Spotlight Essendon. We went to Spotlight to have some fabric. But the staff whose name is Joanne (She was a old woman with the glasses) suddenly came to us and said ‘let you know we don’t cut anymore for you’ with really rude attitude and behavior. The spotlight should be closed 6pm it is just 5:50. We already finished selecting the fabric and heading to counter to pay.She still had 10mins. I felt she just prepared to go home. Most of all, there is no regulation about this in the website and we asked her to show regulation about this. The operating hours are obviously until 6pm and there is no one in the cutting counter. It takes 1min to cut the fabric. We just had one fabric. And she used the bad word that I felt like she is racist. I could not understand exactly but I could understand she used bad word for Asian.We asked her to manager and the Thomas whom is addressed manager(I am not sure if he is manger). He just tried to go home on time. 6’o clock. He said something uncleared with bad attitude as well. It was really bad experience here. If the owner of this branch of Spotlight, check the situation and have inspection of it.
