This place is a good base for exploring the area, there are heaps of other campgrounds around here too. This has a pit toilet that is surprisingly usable clean and smell free. There are covered tables and plenty of wallabies to look at. We did however come across two red belly black snakes so please keep this in mind if you have little kids. I would like to give this more but as the road to the grounds is not suitable for anything other than a proper 4WD. I was on a motorcycle so couldn't get there. The NPWS Website says that it is for 2WD vehicles, that is untrue. Today I rode my ADV motorcycle with street focused tyres 450klm to camp here. While I was looking at the surface which consisted of rocks the size of my fist and loose gravel, a soft roader was coming down the mountain. It lost traction and nearly went off the side.I (and the 2wd car behind me) decided to turn around. I spoke to a local who said the road is worse than normal due to the previous rain, but it has not been 2WD passable for years. You would think that the people who maintain it would have some idea of the condition of the road.As I had nowhere to stay I ended up riding the 450klm back.

Good camp area. Enough shade and sunny areas to accommodate most campers. Shelter . Drop toilet is clean . Freindly locals
