OK, so our family had kind of written this place off (food quality when they opened was just terrible), but we gave it a second chance a few years later - new management, new chef, might as well. The food quality DID improve, but all-in-all the place is a pretty terrible restaurant still.My two concrete bits of feedback (and cautionary warning to diners) are:1) they routinely stuff up orders. Most recent instance being tonight. Good luck if you want the food to match up with what you ordered and paid for.2) the image I've attached is a $19 'salt & pepper squid' dish. Note how in terms of container volume, it's basically EMPTY. They are very inconsistent with portion size and overall quality. In this particular dish, there are 6 pieces of squid. Six pieces. In a nineteen dollar meal.Kenmore is light on food options if you like chinese, but it's probably worth a drive out to taringa or indooroopilly rather than using this establishment.

Went here with my family the fried rice was good aswell as the worms. Staff were very respectful and nice. It took a bit longer then expected to get my food. Overall I like it very much and will come again.

I ordered from here on the 11/9, I don’t usually write reviews but have requested my son post this as it was a great experience and I think it deserves some recognition. The young man that served me was very attentive and very friendly, so refreshing to meet a younger person who is willing to engage in polite and friendly conversation. The service was really wonderful and my wife and I were left very content. Along with the service the food itself was wonderfully presented and tasted quite fresh. Overall, a really lovely experience and once again a shout out to the young lad working there, keep up the great work!

Chinese restaurant with mainly Aussie staff. Food is edible. Service is slow and not the best. Even though I feel sorry for the owners, who are already in their 70's, I am unable to with a clear conscience recommend this restaurant.

First and last time here. Honey chicken and fried rice was dry. Garlic prawns with onion and garlic was overpriced and not very nice.Fried rice was very bland. Only chicken rice egg. Will not come back here. Dim sim was ok.I should have read the reviews first. All say the same, bad. Apart from the fabricated reviews.

SLOWEST takeaway EVER. I’d recommend phoning in your order ahead and then taking a nap before you go to collect it. I wish I’d noted the exact time I ordered so that I could quote the time frame, but it was ridiculous.

We left starving. The portions used to be large enough to justify the prices, but now $23 gets you a small handful of food. Literally, it would fit in a coffee mug. Don't be lazy and settle for this because it's local, just go to any place in Darra and the food is twice as good and 1/4 the price.

Hands down THE WORST experience ever at a (I use this term very lightly) restaurant! Do not go here if you want food because my wife and my parents had to walk out this evening fathers day 2022. A young boy and young girl on the counter and the boy literally was a deer in headlights and as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike the young girl sort of polite but clearly out of her depth.Took 30 mins to even order and that was after I had to get her attention 3 times. Wanted some glasses for our wine and they never came, wanted 2 rum and coke and they had no rum and waited another 15 mins she had still not given our order to the kitchen. We then decided to leave and went to royal Sri Thai and had a great meal. The prices @ china view are high and you can not even get anything to eat. I will never buy food from this dump again and urge everyone to boycott it. I literally don't know how this place is still in business. -1/10

Regrettably I am forced to write a negative review of China View’s take away service for vegetarian meals. After checking and confirming 4 times that my meal was vegetarian, a lesson learned from the previous months error at the same establishment, I arrived home to find out my meal included meat again. This is after the order was checked with the chef.I strongly encourage more attention to detail and quality review.

Awful. Dine in, Tuesday evening. It was very quiet. 3 of the 4 meals arrived at the same time. Chicken was tough, tasteless. 4th meal arrived 5 minutes after rest of us as finished. The 4th meal was duck. Very tough, appeared re-heated. Tasteless. We were regulars - will never dine/takeaway again. Don’t bother going to China View. Absolute waste of money. Not happy.
