I cannot recommend this salon highly enough. I got the keratin treatment and style cut and Helen was just fantastic. The head massage was to die for. Can't wait to go back in 9 weeks. Even my partner said it is my best cut ever. Book with Helen and you will not be disappointed.

I went in for a Keratin treatment and came out feeling like a million bucks. I normally get a block colour following Keratin but it was suggested that I might like to try some foils instead to 'soften' the look and I was not disappointed, I love love LOVE my new barnet and I LOVE Makardi. Thanks Team you rock my world.

Nice people but did not get what I asked for. Nothing like the photo I showed them. If you can't do something, say so. Don't ruin people's hair for a buck.Over processed my hair, to the point it was white, stretching and breaking off. They brushed my wet, over processed hair from the root downwards very rough so a lot of hair broke off and came out. They should of been brushing it little by little from the bottom upwards and be careful with it.The haircut was well done and I wasn't mad at how it looked at the end. Just not what I wanted and my hair was very damaged.

Hair cuts always amazing. Fitted me in for a cut on a weekday. Frequently busy for good reason. Staff always lovely and professional.

My first experience, colouring my entire hair in this salon was very different to the second time that I went back for regrowth colouring in less than 5 weeks.Firstly, I couldn't choose the same person as regrowth was a simple job for someone at that level.Secondly, I was charged for the same amount as the first time, $120 for just regrowth. Their website says $85 for this job. When I questioned that, the person gave me different reasons, none of them convincing (e.g., the prices has gone up, can't find you in the system while I had been assured that the same colour was used as recorded in their system, this is what you need to pay, maybe they didn't charge you correctly the first time, I don't know!).Not to mention that I felt itchy in my ears at night time and found hair colour in my ears when I used cotton tip.Finally, I tried to call and talk to the manager to find out what the actual price was for regrowth and tell him about my experience. Unfortunately, I could not talk to the manager.

I am a new client at Makardi, and John has been very patient and understanding with me (me being an anxious client due to past bad experiences with other salons). He is kind, listens and genuinely takes his time to ensure you are happy with the cut. The staff are friendly, and the salon has a calm, relaxing atmosphere. In my mind, I have difficult hair to cut, but today, John has absolutely nailed it! The “cut” (my biggest concern) is framing shape of my face, and finishing blowave / style was on-point! It has taken me a while to find a salon and hairdresser with this level of expertise, my search is finally over. Thank you so much John :) Looking forward to coming back in 8 weeks.
