Evo Bikes Canterbury

Had a crash on my road bike just before xmas and took a chance here as all my other local bike shops we're fully booked until next year.Asked to replace front tube/tyre, re-wrap handle bars and bend rear de-railer back into position. Mechanic also spotted that front wheel needed trueing which I didn't realise so that was helpful.However after picking my bike up I noticed not a lot of attention to detail - front tyre was only pumped to 60psi, on a road bike I usually do around 100psi. Handle bar wraps have come undone after 2 small rides. Mechanic didn't know how to adjust quick-release brakes properly and had to ask him to re-do them. Even after re-doing them I had to adjust again at home. Couple of other small things I'm not super impressed with.Great communication but not the level of service I was after.

Kenny did a fantastic job. I brought in a second hand bike, which needed a service and rust clean. He was honest about what was worth spending the money on. I dropped it Saturday and it was ready by Monday. Quick responses, clear quote breakdown. Bike runs so much smoother now and much nicer to ride.Kenny also mentioned he sells second hand bikes with a service and 3mth warranty. Wish I had been able to take advantage of that.Highly recommend!

Kenny is very good person. I rented from him months ago, very reliable, did servicing on time, deducted rent when in trouble and gave all bond back no matter how many times I was there to service and all.Would absolutely recommend to rent/buy bicycle from here.

I took a really old folding bike I got 2nd hand to Kenny. I told him I only needed two new tyres and front and rear new brakes/cable/lever. All were installed and repaired in one day and great service and communication. Great price for parts and labour. Some other places quote too much but his prices are very reasonable.

Told the mechanic I had issues stopping my bike completely when braking. He suggested me to get new brakes and new tyres, and soon followed up with a number of other upgrades. In the end, I would say it was absolutely worth it. The bike stops instantly now and the new bike tyre grips are INSANE. Very happy with the service. Would recommend!

I will recommend if any bike who brake down on the road near by can go to find him to fix it. No problem on your bicycle anymore. I like his service better than other shop. Other shop still asking you to booking a day for fix the bike when your tyres flat...never help to fix it....I prefer him can make help to fix it on the same day when your bike have problem...

Both disc brakes failed and Evo didn't have the right pads (old model) - so they swapped out the mechanism with good second hand ones at a great price and I kept riding the Cooks River path. Thanks Evo.

He helping me to change my pedal. I never seen before the guy was very good service to me and very nice polite. No matter , any problem on your bike you can visit his shop to repair.
