Terrible service, I thought I would go through these guys as they had great reviews, how I was wrong. I took my hard drive in to get data recovered a few weeks ago the files were showing on my hard drive but weren’t allowing me to open as they were locked somehow. I was told that they could do data recovery and get them back. When I returned to pick it up I was told I needed a new hard drive....at a cost! So I paid , then to get home and discover none of my files were on the new hard drive just empty folders. I returned today to ask if they could actually do data recovery like I asked in the first place. I was told I would have to pay again! And most likely those files are gone. Sorry what kind of service is this, if they files are gone from the old hard drive why can I still see them? And why was this not picked up on in the first place. Rude and clearly just out for the money. I have a new hard drive that they wouldn't refund and is now useless. And still no files recovered

Excellent service and a quality repair. I have no hesitation recommending them to anyone who is looking for someone who can help with your computer problems.

Was told they had a power supply to only find out that they didn't then was abused when I told them I needed a 200w one and they told me they didn't make them thats powerfull. Lies and lies. Shame on you.

Have to say I now have a place I can go for technical info, and fixes for my computer. Friendly staff, welcoming and understanding if you are not sure of issues with your computer or even phones. Don't normally get on these forums but really needed to let locals know about this service and support. Thanks Rachel.

Had a not bootable" issue with my laptop. Needed it for work whilst in Cairns for 3 weeks . Rachel quoted on a new disk .... BUT found that the shonky tech in Melbourne had jammed the new disk (18 months prior) with paper and the disk had come loose.Very honest lady ... only charged for labour when she could have charged for a new disk ... Bought her a Tatts tkt .... but we didn't win .. guess we both did win with a very positive transaction on both sides."

I had challenging software and hardware issues when I purchased my new Mac computer. Get that Geek solved these for me, some of which were quite challenging. I found it particularly helpful to be able to talk directly with Rachel, their technician, whom I must say is unbelievably good, someone who seems to be able to solve difficult unusual problems with ease. What's more I found their fees quite reasonable. I also needed a large capacity backup drive that I agreed to buy from Rachel but next day I received an email from her to say she found an equivalent one at JB Hi-Fi that was cheaper - what's more she ordered it for me and arranged for its delivery a no extra cost! I can't thank Rachel enough for her honesty and good service. I'm not one to normally write reviews but dealing with Get that Geek was so much better than any other computer company I have dealt with in the past that I felt on this occasion I should do so.

Poor customer service and people skills!I am happy with the technical service, but the way that the owner treated me when I went there just to pick up my stuff sooner than she expected was very rude and insulting. She could have just said that your service is not ready yet and please come back later when I let you know. But she was bitter and unwelcoming. Then when I expressed my disappointment over the phone in a very polite manner, she yelled at me and accused me of harassing her. I was shocked. In my many years of being in many places in Australia, this was the first time I had seen that type of behaviour from a business owner. Interestingly, a few days later, when I finally returned to pick up my laptop and hard drive, she was charming again and didn't show any sign of regret about her behaviour last time.
