The Stinking Bishops
We hired The Stinking Bishop to do a Cheese Wheel Cake and Charcuterie Board for my wedding and our guests loved it. So much so, it was devoured in an hour. The video below was for 80 guests. Stefano (absolute legend) recommended bigger, but the venue suggested less. Listen to Stefano as he’s the expert. Thanks heaps The Stinking Bishop team!

We stumbled upon this place while walking in Newtown and we absolutely loved it! They have an incredible selection of cheeses and meats with an equally good wine selection. The staff here are amazing and super friendly. The food is great with the must have dishes being the Mac and Cheese and the Chocolate Fondant for dessert. If you like cheese and wine then this is the place for you

What a find! Stefano & Valentina are such fantastic hosts. The cheese selection is vast and of the highest quality, serving them each as ripe or as mature as they should be, and at the perfect temperature. The team are very knowledgable about their menu and we enjoyed the enthusiasm shown when talking about each choice, including the wine menu which is equally as great. Tip: do not leave without ordering the burnt ricotta cheesecake for dessert...it's served warm and it's light and not overly sweet. Very satisfying.

We love the Stinking Bishops! We have been coming here for years. We have had great home deliveries and takeaway choices. When we come in, there is a wide range of delicious meats and cheeses, and extra menu options. The drinks and wine list is excellent. The staff are lovely and are happy to give advice on the menus. Am looking forward to trying a ‘cheese cake’ for a special occasion!

Staff was friendly and super helpful in guiding us what cheeses to take based on our preferences. Wonderful intimate ambience, not a lot of people even on a Friday nightFood was impeccable, i find cheeses give us a better wow factor compared to the charcuterie. Partait was lovely as well.Could have given 5/5 if we had ordered more variety of food, instead of just cheese and charcuterie platter which does not reflect much of the restaurants cooking skills. Would love to come again and try their other dishes!

The Stinking Bishop is a foodie's dream and a nostril's nightmare! Don't let the smell turn you away, once you get past the odor, prepare to be blown away by their cheese selection. From oozy, pungent blues to creamy, melt-in-your-mouth Bries, they've got it all. The staff's enthusiasm is contagious, and their recommendations are spot-on. Just bring along a sense of adventure. But if you don't, there are plenty of other options to make you leave satisfied. A true cheese lover's paradise!

Had an extremely enjoyable lunch here and definitely over-indulged and delicious cheese and meat as well as wine, cocktails and dessert.Baked Camembert was the star of the show and lived up to its promise of cheesy goodness.We enjoyed a very nice pinot gris and desserts topped it off well.Service was very attentive and knowledgeable. It was a little quiet on a Saturday afternoon so hopefully it picks up a bit as it's a great little venue.

Wide variety of cheese to select from. For the non cheese lover, we had tiger prawns, grilled cauliflower and Crispy pork which was exceptionally good. Staff was also friendly

Great staff. Amazing cheeses and quite filling. Came here on a Tuesday night without a booking but it filled up quickly!So many different cheeses to choose from, and mac and cheese to fill you up. Great cocktails as well.They do tell you which cheeses use vegetarian rennet if that concerns you, so very convenient.

Incredible place to experience amazing cheeses from the best places in the world and delicious wines to match. If you’re after a slightly fancy place to have a great night and something to talk about and experience, get on down here. Ambiance is chill and you can have a great chat without too much noise. Love this joint and hope you do too.
