Great view along the coast, steep cliffs below. There is a small parking area on the seaward (south) side of the road.

Worth the stop. A great story of first people assisting a convict also told. The natural beauty is the highlight

Have always used Mt Defiance as a stopping point for around 30 years as I've passed by this way.It's a nice place to stop but in recent years there are a couple of places more roomy that make a good stop, but to date not nicer.The issue here is the narrow car parking space, which is an problem at busier times, but in the past I would stop on a motorcycle which is ideal at busiers periods. There are also sticker on the signs placed by simpletons that need to be addressed. Come on council, do your job.The old stone work and lovely views from the lookout are excellent and one of my favorites on the Great Ocean Road as far as lookouts are concerned.Watch your children near the edges as the drop past the stone work is perilously steep and needless to say very dangerous to the antics of the young.This will always be a special place with so many fond memories here...

A few minutes beyond Lorne on route to Apollo bay. Nice spot to regroup and take in the sweeping views. Have been lucky on a few occasions to see whales from this point.

It was one of the nicest stops along the Ocean Road Drive.

Interesting spot to stop. Must read all plark's. View is great to get some good photos.
