Slade Pharmacy East Melbourne - Victoria Parade

I have had awful experiences with the Slade Pharmacy on 2 different occasions. First time was a few years ago when I had to pick up a simple Progesterone medication. They got me to wait a few days until someone called about my prescribed medication, then I had to book an appointment to pick up the medicine and even with that appointment they made me wait for an hour! Obviously I was never gonna go back to them and I switched to a doctor who didn’t work with Slade! But how unlucky that I ended up at Epworth Freemason Hospital this year and as I was being discharged I was given some medication which I really didn’t need but the invoice was for $19 so I took them home and paid the invoice . In about a month I started receiving more and more invoices for the Panadol and Ibuprofen that I thought was gonna cost $19. I ended up paying $48 for something that I could have got way cheaper at any other pharmacy and didn’t need in the first place. Not to mention that they claimed the slip was only $19 in the first place and then they realised that they should charge me more in about a month! The whole experience was so negative and made me feel like they were trying to make extra money out of patients who have been hospitalised for different reasons and are obviously vulnerable at the time when they are being discharged.

Both assistant and pharmacist are very competent, lovely, professional and efficient. Helped me resolve issues with Slade Albert streets incompetence. Definitely the better pharmacist. Many thanks

Prices at this pharmacy is a RIP OFF!!!!!!! You can buy medication elsewhere at half the price.

If you like paying 2x normal retail prices bc of their location at the hospital, ripping off a captive market, you should go here. Paid $27 for what should have been about $14 worth of product. Rent seekers.
