I'd love to be able to give a 5 star review, but when we arrived at 8am we were told the vanilla slice isn't available till 9am. Unfortunately we had to keep moving, however the pies were very good.

I came here for the prize winning vanilla slice, seems like going out of the way by less than 100km would be worth it.I started off with a pie and some patience while the slice sat and looked at me out of the container. Cheese and bacon, really nice as far as pies go.On to the main event, the vanilla slice from here is like seeing the face of your deity of choice. The pastry is crisp, the filling isn't gelatinous and the whole affair isn't too sweet.I cut off a bit and gave it to my 5 year old. He liked it too, but managed to drop some on the ground under the table. Of course, I didn't find out he had dropped the leftover bit (and picked it back up) until after he went off to play and I put it on my mouth.The vanilla slice from the ground had bit of sand and grit in it, but was STILL better than the next best vanilla slice I've had.

The home of Australia's best Vanilla slice 2022... and the slice was delicious! Hubby & I also had salad rolls which were fresh & great tasting. Friendly & helpful staff. A visit is very highly recommended.

Those vanilla slices!Definitely the bestHad been to Sea Lake from Melbourne and had to detour to visit this place. Highly recommend everyone to try their vanilla slice.Downside, had been there around 9:30 but the fresh vanilla slices were not ready yet so I had to buy the frozen one.

26.5.23 Morning tea stop. Called in to try one of the famous vanilla slices. Chatted to a fellow out the front and he said the bee stings were the best. On his recommendation we purchased a vanilla slice and a bee sting and I think he may have been on the money. Staff were very obliging, cutting both in half so that my partner and I could share.

Amazing Bakery with a full range of delish baked goods.Customer service was exceptional, and offered great local knowledge. (travellers passing through).Would most certainly make the stop in again.Make sure you take the time in town to walk around, it's most certainly a neat little town.

Morning tea was enjoyed with Darkie & Veronica Hogan at Sharps on Friday. Vanilla slice is the best I have ever tasted and I have sampled a few, lunch time saw my husband with a pie and I had the best silverside and salad sandwich. The bread is superb. We will be back, wish it was closer to Geelong.
