Coastal walk at Port Macquarie, NSWThe Coastal Walk from Sails Rydges to the Tacking Point Lighthouse is about 2hrs and mostly flat although there some steps. It’s a combination of coastal path and on road trail, via Town Beach, Oxley Beach, Flynns Beach, Nobbys Beach, Shelly Beach, Sea Acres Rainforest Centre, I then continued along Pacific Dr, then Lighthouse Rd until I got to the lighthouse.#CoastalWalkPortMacquarie#PortMacquarie

Port Macquarie Coastal Walk
Honestly one of the most beautiful walks along the northern NSW coastline! The walk starts in Port Macquarie and continues along to the Lighthouse Beach. The complete walk is around 18km one way, but you can break the walk down into smaller pieces by parking your car part way along. The walk is moderate in nature, there are some relatively easy sections along roads combined with some heavier stair climbs. Nothing terribly challenging, just wear suitable shoes. Perhaps bring a towel as well so you can drop your shoes and walk along the beach.Honestly one of the best things about Port Macquarie!

Port Macquarie Coastal Walk
I did the first part of the coastal walk this morning, the part that meanders along the Hastings River. This part of the walk is flat and right in the middle of town, so very popular with walkers, dogs and cyclists and therefore on a nice day can be quite busy. But with good reason! A great way to get your morning steps in!
