Delicious and authentic Filipino food. Efficient and friendly staff. All the chefs are amazing at cooking Filipino food, it tastes just like home. Very nice and welcoming atmosphere. Would come back again :)

Delicious!!! Have been twice (ate the crispy pata, pick hock, twice ) and will be back again. Good desserts too and lovely service.

Had my wedding held here, it was so perfect food was great, staff was sooo accomodating, good place for small parties and functions.

Was our very first time trying Filipino cuisine. It was a pure treat. So glad we finally decided to try it.Food and service were top tier. Can’t wait to go back. Our bub was gifted a piece of ube cake on our way out which was very nice of them. I’ve had an endless craving for HaloHalo since!!

Rex’s is a wonderful family-owned Filipino restaurant with lots of menu options to offer, so it’s a very great entry point to people who aren’t familiar with Filipino cuisine. You HAVE to try their calamansi (kumquat) frappe when visiting, perfect for a hot summer days! Location is a bit further out but at least there is parking.They have a bakery and dessert section too if you want something home to takeaway. The food here also doesn’t feel too heavy or oily compared to traditional Filipino cuisine where a few bites would usually leave you feeling a bit sick of the taste.Don’t even get me started on service… If you are served by Rex (the son of the owner), he goes above and beyond in making sure you have a great time.Overall, would love to visit again with friends if I’m ever around Southside Brisbane.

Ordered take away here and called to order 30 minutes in advance.As I arrived, the restaurant was busy with 70% of their tables full and lively atmosphere with a fitting level of ambience.Staff were busy tending to other customers but did not fail to mention that they will come back to me in a friendly and warming manner.I paid for my takeaway, didn't ask for a receipt because I trusted everything was fine.Waited an additional 30 minutes before my food was ready.When I got home, I realized that the pork leg that I ordered was missing.I tried frantically to call them and double check on this but no answer. I called 8 consecutive times before I gave up and came to terms with what had happened.Overall the food was spectacular. The chefs have definitely hit a home run with that one. Service was super friendly and the restaurant venue is quite nice and homely.However the wait on food is quite dreadful and the missing food item was pretty devastating.I won't go as far as to say I wouldn't come back again because who can say no to their amazing Inihaw Platters. But if I was to come back I would make sure to call and order atleast 50 minutes ahead, always ask for a receipt and always check the contents of the takeaway boxes before I leave.Rex's Cuisine, you guys are amazing and its fine to have room for improvement.

3.5 ⭐️ - friendly staff and great location to get filo food. Menu has a wide variety but is a bit on expensive side. We tried the:¤ Crispy chicken with rice - chicken was cooked well and falls apart easily, bit bland even with sauce¤ Spring rolls - can't go wrong with these, filling was generous and seasoned well¤ Halo halo - again can't go wrong with this, worth a try and great to have on a warm day
