I've been to carbatec a few times over the last 4 years.Most of the guys are good...but the guys that refused to acknowledge that the Groz Handplane was rubbish a few months after I bought it were not.At that point I believed them because I wasn't experienced, now I know the difference. And yes, the plane is not any better than a cheap one from Bunnings. (I'm not comparing it to expensive planes like veritas)My objection to the Groz planes is simple lack of quality (metal that bends etc) and/or functional designBetter to have bought a second hand one, and better to have trusted myself.I do not recommend Groz jack or pocket planes

I've been dealing with Carbatec Melb for years and their products and service just keep getting better. Over the years, I've gone from buying small machines as I could afford them to being retired and finally getting the machines that I really want. My latest purchase......the JN-XC300C a 12 beast of a jointer.A couple of times

If I could give a negative star I would. Worst company in the world!! Advertises machines that work on 15AMps but really run on over 20AMps. Trip circuit breaker. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM.

Just purchased the Carbatec router lift. What a beautifully engineered piece of kit, almost over engineered, not one piece of plastic anywhere, and it operates smooth as silk. Also item was packaged so well it would have survived an atomic blast! Well worth the $ 700 cost.

If you're a wood working enthusiast you must check this company out. They stock specialty hand tools to full size wood working machines. The staff are very knowledgeable about the products they stock.

I went in to collect an online order, and Bruce was so helpful and gave lots of great advice specific to my project. Very friendly and knowledgeable team! I will absolutely be shopping through them in the future - and it’s well worth going in person.
