North Wollongong Parkrun

Great 5km run to go out and do on a Saturday Morning. Can get a bit muddy after Rain, however that just makes it more fun.

One of three Illawarra parkruns, North Wollongong now starts at Fairy Meadow and runs through Puckett Reserve, a pleasant shaded gravel track along a creek. After rain it can be very wet in patches. A slow start for those not starting at the head of the pack as runners are funnelled onto a narrower track.It continues on an elevated boardwalk before diverting onto an ashfelt bike path, and then grass around the perimeter of an inlet before returning on the same route.Very welcoming to tourists, a very cute coffee caravan provided essential caffeine before and after

Great parkrun, mixed terrain, trail, grass, road, water views and friendly volunteers.

Good course, if a bit muddy in places following sustained rain. Superbly located for a post-run ocean dip

Definitely bring your trail shoes.
