Carissa was amazing! I chose Elk and Fir because I loved her style of photography: moody but warm... styled yet natural... and the wedding package we chose was just what we were looking for (so many inclusions compared to other photographers)! Carissa was so easy to work with, even when our original wedding plans changed (thanks Covid) she made our new, not necessarily ideal, plans work. No hesitations in recommending her!!

Absolutely Amazing!!! As a family who aren’t exactly comfortable in front of a camera, I was expecting our family shoot to be a tad awkward. Carissa made this shoot the exact opposite! We had so many laughs & such fun, the experience itself was a great family moment of togetherness but then we got the photos & WOW!! What Carissa captured with us just simply being us was so absolutely beautiful, as a mum, I will treasure these forever, they brought tears to my eyes. Do yourselves a favour, have Carissa capture just a tiny part of your life/lives to keep forever, she’s so talented and a natural. Can’t recommend enough. Thank you!!

Recently I had a Boudoir experience with Carissa and I was blown away with how comfortable she made me feel from the very first moment we met.The idea of doing something so vulnerable for myself postpartum at first scared me but with Carissa's care, guidance and professionalism I knew I was in very good hands.On the day my entire experience was one of support and comfort from getting my hair and make up done professionally, to during the shoot as Carissa showed me what she was capturing and WOW was I impressed and couldn't believe it was me!When my gallery arrived I was literally brought to tears as I saw beauty and elegance in the way Carissa captured and edited my images on the day.I now have a deeper appreciation for my body and a confidence I never thought possible. Carissa from Elk and Fir really made me feel at ease and relaxed during my Shoot. The whole experience was something new for me and had me out of my comfort zone. Getting my Hair and Makeup done before the shoot was a real pamper session and I loved every minute of it. I have followed Carissa on social media for YEARS! When we got engaged and started planning she was the first person I contacted, I knew she was the right person straight away to capture our day.My now husband hates photos, we met for lunch whilst looking at wedding Venues and she put the both of us instantly at ease - she gave amazing advice and was always there if I needed it. I was so stressed about the fact it may rain on the day but she took it in her stride and calmed me down and told me no matter what the photos will be beautiful. She arrived on the day not just as a photographer but a friend, you could tell she was just as excited to be there as I was! She captured our day absolutely perfectly and was able to recommend a brilliant videographer to go hand in hand wth her - and wow did they work well together!
