Shocking how I was treated by doctors during an appointment, I have had multiple problems with this clinic in the past.

I always get the best care here. I've been coming all my life. The GP's, nurses and staff all go above and beyond to help me out.

Been few times now just shocking. My boy doesnt need see doctor that often but i feel quite disappointed was told off one doctor say something lifelong can be cured" yes i was reimbursed n half apology to being told had to see our usual doctor waited over 2 months then told no have see first doctor straight out reception oh another 2 month wait. Just not good enough when only reason saw doctor number 2 cause doctor number 1 either on holiday leave or booked out. Will be shopping new doctors surgery"

I shouldn’t have to justify or explain myself but it seems I do.I’ve been putting myself last for along time, I finally made time to do something about it, I rang to make an appointment with a doctor (female) I felt comfortable with, I chose a particular doctor as she had also been treating my mum which would help with some of the background for what I wanted to discuss. Mum happened to have an appointment before me which was really convenient logistically too.We had to wait nearly 4 weeks for the appointments which I was willing to do as I really needed to build myself up mentally to talk to the doctor. Upon arrival it seems my appointment was no longer booked with the chosen doctor, I’d been shoved over to another doctor, a male doctor in fact who I have never met, have absolutely no confidence in and would have as no idea about the rare and complicated issues I needed to discuss. When I conveyed this information to reception I was asked what my appointment was for, when I said ‘me’ she asked ‘but what’, REALLY?? A trained medical receptionist who has been in the industry for years and years. She could see I was visibly a bit distressed… my reply: ‘um lots of things’ I’m not willing to discuss these things in the reception of a small town medical clinic with my Mum standing next to me and half the waiting room listing, thanks!! Now sitting in the waiting room crying because I’m back at square one…I know human error occurs but they really have no idea the emotional damage that’s been done today… don’t change appointments unless you discuss it with the patient.
