We are tourists from Germany. We travel without a smartphone. That was not a problem at all 5 years ago. Now it becomes harder. But the visitorcenters helped us so much on the way from Melbourne to Adelaide. Very helpful persons. Brilliant work. Brilliant maps and informations. Calls to the campsites to fix a site for the night. Thanks, thanks, thanks!Big hugs, Claudia and Kai

The Millicent Visitor Information Centre has maps, brochures and flyers about Millicent, and also the surrounding area, e.g. Beachport, local national and conservation parks, and western Victoria.Friendly staff with lots of info on the area and further afield.

One of the best museums we have seen in Australia (& we've seen lots). Well laid out, informative, with lots of unique pieces - not just the usual boring stuff. Some great interactive things for the kids - especially the train. Awesome helpful staff here too

Just visited this visitor information centre and museum and was extremely impressed with the service we received. From the moment I walked in, the staff were incredibly welcoming and eager to help with any questions. She took the time to explain the different exhibits and gave me some great recommendations for things to see and do in the area. The museum itself was also very impressive. The exhibits were well-curated and gave a great overview of the history and culture of the area.Fantastic experience at the visitor information centre and museum. The staff were outstanding and the museum was well worth a visit. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Millicent has been the hidden gem of our holiday. The friendly chap at the info centre gave us great tips of what to see and do. The tantanoola cave is a must see. We have seen plenty of such caves but none so intense with such beauty in one place. Very little walking involved. Great guide. The cave looks like a cathedral built by nature, or God, depending on your beliefs. But before you leave the info centre, the museum is a must. I have not seen such a display of a wide range of things so beautifully restored or maintained. A steam train, 50 horse drawn carriages, sulkies, buggies, machinery, clothing, and more.Don’t leave town without visiting lake McIntyre.
